Initial Robo-call from Herkimer, NY. Recording claimed that I was in trouble with the IRS and would be arrested. I was given a phone number to call 315-219-4296. The phone was answered by someone claiming to work for the IRS. Between the background noise and the strong foreign accent it was difficult to understand what was being asked. Ended call.

They promptly hung up on me. The phone number used to reach me was 404-933-8568.

- Hawthorne, CA, USA

Received 3 phone calls from the "IRS" and that there was a lawsuit against me. Was a prerecording that asked me to call back. 1st number was always busy, second rang 10 times and I was connected with a man in a call center. He had a heavy foreign accent and stated that his name was David Miller. He stated that there was a lawsuit against me (Case # VS8511TX) from the IRS and that I was apart of a random 5 year audit for 2008-2013 and that I had made a miscualuation error on my taxes. He said the error was a new medical mistake and that I would need to pay $6435 right now because an arrest warrant was issued and I would go to jail, have my drivers license suspended and need to go to Washington DC to settle this matter in court. I asked why I had not received any notification in the mail, and he said that they had sent it to my mailing address. When I asked him to verify the address it was sent, he said that he could not because his system was not working. He said that I needed to hang up since I was not willing to settle and that he would dispatch the warrant to my local sheriff's office and I would be arrested tonight. I asked to speak to his supervisor, he refused. I asked for the supervisor's name. He refused. I asked for further information regarding the case and the lawsuit, he refused. Stated that he had "already given [me] all the information I needed." I then informed him that I would not pay a large sum of money over the phone without further documentation or without speaking to someone else. He told me he was authorized to take my payment and that I needed to hang up since I was not going to settle, (he told me to hang up 4 times before I did). He became irate with me when I asked for more information or for him to send me further documentation of the lawsuit of claim.

- Massapequa, NY, USA

I received a threatening voicemail msg on my cell phone from phone # 1303-647-9604 which came up as a Colorado phone #.

they left me a msg stating that they were from the Internal Revenue Service calling to inform me that this was the last notice I would be receiving before they took legal action against me for unpaid taxes owed.

I called them back very upset to get to the bottom of who was calling me and why they would leave me a such a msg. I am very concerned as these people had my home address and telephone # . I asked to speak with a supervisor and they kept hanging up on me. I called back numerous times and was either hung up on or the call wouldn't go through. these people had foreign accents and to me this is telephone terrorism. I am disgusted and would like for someone to get to the bottom of this. if they called me I am sure they are calling others as well.
