hi I'm calling from three IRS, he said. then hung up. doing this twice in two days. Indian or arabic accent. when I dialed back the # yesterday, it was never answered. when I dialed back today and asked what scam he was running,and told I was turning him in, he laughed at me. doesn't seem like he is from the IRS at all.

An official sounding pre recorded message stated a lawsuit is being filed against me because I owe the IRS money. The call is made from 347-871-1931. The message instructs me to call that number ASAP. When I called the number the person stated that a warrant has been issued against me and my address because I owe the IRS money (without asking who they were speaking with/ I called from a phone number different than the one the message was left on). When I started to question the credibility of the call I was told to hold on and the person hung up on me. I called back to instruct them not to contact me anymore. They disconnected their phone line.

I have received 5 calls/voicemails this week from someone identifying themselves as an Officer Don Douglas with the IRS. Voicemails say that I need to contact them about a legal case that has been filed against me, something about tax fraud. That I need to call 1-206-204-4838 or 1-254-275-4862 before this goes to court or I get arrested. The calls show up coming from Washington, yet this Don Douglas has a very foreign accent. I have not returned any of these calls and have attempted to block the numbers from my phone.

I received a call from someone called Dennis Craig claiming to be the IRS. When they called they left a voicemail saying I had to call back as a warrant had been issued for my arrest. The funny thing was the number they called from (206-708-2849) was not the number left to call back on. They told me to call back 707-534-2303 which I did.

The person answered and identified himself as Robert Craig but it sounded like the same person. He gave his Federal ID number as 11414 and said that a Sherrif would be at my house in 45 minutes with a warrent. I told him that I was going to call my accountant to verify as I thought it was a scam. He did not want to let me get off the phone and kept telling me "you need to listen to me, you are going to jail".

I hung up and called my accountant who told me that it was most definitely a scam. I called the scam number back to tell them that I knew it was a scam and the same person answered but this time identified as Forrest something or other (I couldn't make him out). I just told him I knew it was a scam and was going to report him to the ScamPulse.com and the authorities then hung up.

I received a call 12:15 12-16-2015 saying this was the IRS with a final notice for me.

It was a call from Tacoma, Washington phone #1-253-777-3391. They were filing

a lawsuit against me.

I was contacted by someone calling from (804) 916-8700 that said it was the IRS. I questioned whether this is real and he said to get on the website www.irs.com which I realized was a fake website. I did not give them any information other than the phone number they already had to call back.

Received a phone call this morning on my cell phone from number 347-305-6254, called ID "N.Y."

VERY annoying and VERY abusive call: "Is this ___? My name is Cheryl. I'm from the IRS. Did you know there is an arrest warrant out for you?" Me: "I did not". Her: "Yes, you owe taxes and if you don't pay, we will send the police to arrest you!". I hang up, and they immediately call me back. "This is Cheryl, why did you hang up on me? Do you want me to send the police to arrest you?", Me: "I don't know who you are, and I get this threatening call from a number in NY", her: "I told you my name is Cheryl and I'm from New York office IRS (sic). If you hang up, I'm going to send the police to arrest you". I live in Illinois - I hung up.

They immediately called me back 3 more times, then I blocked the number.

I was contacted by the IRS about not reporting any income on my taxes and the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. Wanted me to contact them to get it resolved. It was my final notice.

I received a call from Browne and Associates claiming that I was being sued by the IRS. The first call was a recording, when I called the number back the man that answered with a very heavy accent demanded to know who I was. When I wouldn't tell him he hung up on me.

I received an automated voicemail stating that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and to call them back to find out why. I have received these types of calls before from other numbers, so I knew it was a scam. Plus I have heard about this scam on the news and internet.

Consumer received call from an individual who claimed to be from the IRS stating that if they did not provide the last 4 digits of their social security number and pay they would be sued. When the consumer asked for a supervisor the caller became hostile and hung up the phone.
