Consumer received a voicemail message requesting she call back regarding a matter with the IRS. Consumer called back and spoke to a man with a "Indian" accent. Man wanted to know if she was calling from a cell number and that she owed $9,000 to the IRS. Consumer asked where she needed to go and man stated she could pay with a credit card or money orders or be arrested and locked up. Consumer stated she would be arrested, then man disconnected call.

I received a call that said it was Washington D.C. - caller said it was the IRS and they had been trying to get intouch with me because they were about to file a law suit against me.

We received multiple calls with pre-recorded messages saying we were being sued by the IRS. We finally called this no.: 315-519-4066. They obviously want people to give their personal information, supposedly to verify the claim against them. I asked why the US government hadn't mailed me a notice and he asked again for me to tell him the home phone number on which I'd received the notice. I asked him again what company he was with and he hung up.

Receiving calls from IRS scam. Recorded message states "You will be arrested if you do not make restitution immediately. This is your last chance before going to jail" The recorded voice is female, no accent. The phone #listed on caller ID is: 1 202 386 0453 DC.

The person called me on the phone and told me the IRS is sewing me and had previously tried to contact me by mail but I was not home so they thought i was tring to escape paying what i owe. They have tried since 2009-2013 taxes I owe $4000 back taxes and fees. I need to contact my local IRS. They were limited English speakers and her ID# is a12774908. the # I was called on is 202-386-0645 & 6137120361

They stated this is my finial notice and the IRS has been trying to get a hold of me regarding back taxes. When I called the number the call did not go through. They stated if I don t not respond there will be a sheriff at my home to arrest me.

Received phone call from 209-813-4131 in Angels Camp, California stating they were with the IRS and we had been audited for the years 2008 through 2013 and owed taxes and penalties and we could pay or hire a lawyer. I knew this was a scam so I led them on for about 12 minutes. They finally hung up on me when I asked them what county the charges would be filed through. Since that time I have called them back several times to inform them what they could do to themselves and to get a real job and stop harassing innocent people.

I had a call on my answering machine from someone at a phone number I did not recognize (360-284-4869) and said I owed money to the IRS. I am and have been retired since 2002 and have not worked or paid any taxes. I did not call the number back.

I received an automated phone call from IRC (334) 557-7821 indicating that I have had a complaint filed against me, but provided no details about the complaint. Instead, they told me to call the number above using a reference number they provided, but I wasn't able to write it down. The recorded message ended indicating that I had been officially notified. The area code on caller ID places it in the Montgomery, AL area. I did not, nor do I plan to make contact with whomever this may be.

I had a voice mail on my phone from someone claiming to be from the IRS saying they have a lawsuit against me and for me to call them back immediately. When I called back I could barely understand anything the woman said, i told her I couldnt understand her and a few minutes of me telling her I couldn't understand her she finally hung on me. I figured it was a scam, and if the irs was suing me they would send me a letter in the mail.
