The consumer received a voicemail message stating that they were the IRS giving a second notice. Consumer called the number back (206-204-5048) and a foreign person answered, saying "hello?" The consumer said, "I don't think you are the IRS," and the scammer ended up hanging up on her.

Male person (accent sounded like from India) stating he is from the IRS and there is a local IRS lawsuit against me from the IRS. He said he was looking for a person (he stated a name similar to mine). I said I was not that person, but he continued as if I was the person the IRS was looking for. Without a doubt, my husband and I are current and above board regarding our taxes, so I know this is a scam. When I began really confronting him, he hung up.

I received a call from 2402848330 telling me that i am being sued by the IRS. when i asked further questions, they hung up on me. They had a address from over 15 years ago.

I did not recognize the phone number so I did not answer. This is what was left on my voice mail.

Voicemail from (253) 336-5442

"Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 253-336-5442. I repeat 253-336-5442. Thank you."

I knew it was a scam but called anyway. Jean Parker gave me his ID number of JP95137 and a case number of IR83647. He was very threatening. So much so that I knew it was a scam. And then said would you like to settle this now for $5400.00 WOW!!! I am sure they are scaring people into paying them.

Received 3 phone calls yesterday (two on land line, one on cell phone) and two calls today (one on land line and one on cell). All calls were a recording telling me that they have been trying to reach me and that this was the final call and that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and then instructed me to call back. The calls originated from Seattle, WA, Sunnyside, WA, and DC, USA. Both my land line and my cell are registered with the do not call list.

Said we owed them money. From phone number 406-924-9644 Bellgrade, Mt. at 9:46 a.m. on 1/6/15. We have had several calls from them and we never answer the phone or call back the number.
