I am reporting a scam message that we received. They never left a message until recently. It came on our home phone. Our TV showed Spam Risk. Phone number in caller ID was 833-537-1827. Message stated regarding our Social Security number. Social Security number was inadvertently deleted. It was used in a false manner. Call back and confirm Social Security number. We did not call the number back.

I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL FROM #202-539-1324 IN WASHINGTON DC. I DO NOT ANSWER CALLS IF I'M NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE INCOMING CALLER. THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE WAS LEFT ON MY VOICEMAIL;

"WE HAVE A CHANCE INSTRUCTION TO SUSPEND ALL YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS AND SOCIAL SO ONCE YOU RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE AND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET ARRESTED AND RESOLVE THIS CASE CALL US BACK AT 877-225-3525 FROM SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION. CALL US BACK AT 877-225-3525 AND TALK TO THE OFFICE RIGHT NOW THANK YOU".

(NOTE: I CALLED THE BBB-HAWAII AFTER RECEIVING THIS THREATENING MESSAGE TO VERIFY IF THIS MAY BE A SCAM & IF I MAY BE A TARGETED VICTIM, OR IS THIS LEGITIMATE? I WAS INFORMED THAT IT IS A SS ADMIN SCHEME & TO NOT RESPOND TO THIS CALLER & MAYBE EVEN TO BLOCK THIS PHONE#, WHICH I DID IMMEDIATELY. I ALSO ASKED IF THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT I NEEDED TO REPORT TO HPD? I WAS INFORMED TO ONLY REPORT IT TO HPD IF THESE THREATENING CALLS PERSIST. THE REP @ THE ScamPulse.com WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL!)

THEY CALLED AND SAID MY SS# WAS COMPROMISED. WHEN I PUSHED THE BUTTON TO BE CONNECTED THEY IDENTIFIED THEIRSELF AS SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION. THEY ASKED COULD THEY HELP ME. I SAID THAT THEY CALLED ME WHAT DID THEY NEED AND THEY HUNG UP.

I answered a call on my home phone March 9 from Social Security. I know that Social Security does not call. Identified themselves as being with Social Security. Something to do with my Social Security. The recording stated press one for further information. I hung up. I did not press one. I answered the call because the phone number in my caller ID was similar to mine. My caller ID showed 216-308-2891.

Robocall indicating their social security number is being fraudulently used in Texas and to press 1 for more details. Consumer immediately hung up and called back. The individual on the other end answered with a confused hello and the consumer hung up again.

I received 5 calls within one hour from the same local phone #. The man had a very thick Middle East accent and told me that my social security # may have been stolen and asked me to verify my social security # as well as my name and zip code. When I refused to give the #, he became very irritated and said that I needed a good attorney. When I called the # that he called me from back, it belonged to a sweet local woman who was unaware that her # was used in this scam.

Received another call today from an automated caller. My social security number has been breeched and I need to press 1 to resolve the issue. This is the 3rd or 4th call about this. I have reported two numbers previously.

I received another scam call from Social Security. Threaten to arrest me and cancel my card. Wanted me to call back. I did not listen to entire the message. My caller ID showed phone number 440-218-7380. I did not call the number back. I'm tired of them calling me.

Contacted by phone from someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration and there is a claim against my ss#. When questioned about not receiving written documentation and that the Social Security Administration does not contact people by phone, the caller hung up.

First received a call stating there is a case against you you must call to verify the criminal case against you. When you call a foreign person answers the phone and says social security administration lol yea no. He said his name was Alfred Watson I have him my name which was fake Jack Meoff and he literally asked me to spell the last name never got what I was doing. He asked for my social number so that’s where the fun stopped I asked him if he thought ppl were that stupid to give their info to him and he hung up. He also said it was a recorded call. I hope it was :)

I received a call from someone claiming to be with Social Security who, oddly, asked if I got my new Medicare card. He claimed my old one was expiring. He asked for my name and phone number - which I did not provide. Instead, I asked for his name and phone. However, he refused, saying that "for security purposes we don't provide that info." In turn I also said "for security purposes I cannot provide that info." At that point he said the my Medicare card was now blocked.

Automated male voice saying he was a police officer (don’t recall name) investigating some type of fraud related to my social security account.

I was frightened to listen further and knew it was a scam, so hung up.

I received a phone call from what sounded like a "robo call" on 3/3/2021 at 2:57 p.m. The message advised me that my social security number had been compromised and to ple[censored]d for an operator. In hindsight, I wish I would have so I could provide more information. I looked up the phone number (Google) and it is registered to a person in Berea, Ohio. I did call the number back in hopes of getting someone's name, unfortunately I received voicemail. The person was male, and I don't believe the language was English, male spoke very quickly and I disconnected the call. The phone number is 440-623-2187.

A lady with an Indian accent called my phone from two numbers (with the same area code me) claiming to be from the Social Security Administration saying that they were following up for some "suspicious activity." And that if I want to clear up these accusations, to press 1. I immediately hung up and blocked both numbers.

I just received 2 calls from this number, they stated that there was. A warrant out for me and that my ssn benefits were going to be blocked. They said the number then

“Repeat it is 206-536-27** kindly call us back so that we can discuss your case and take necessary action on this matter if we don't hear from you then we will be forced to take legal action against you kindly we would like to confirm some information with you before taking legal action thank you…“

When I called so I could get info to report, they asked my for the last 4 of my SSn which I did not provide, they had my entire name, age and address - I did not conform or deny any of that info as it can be probably be googled. The person of the phone use profanity on the phone so I hang up and was unable to obtain more info.

I got a call this morning from an automated call center and the man told me there was suspicious activity under my SSN including drug trafficking and a possible murder. He wanted to know my bank information and how many cars I owned, if I had a licence and pretty much everything under the sun. He definitely tried to sound official by having me write down my "case number" his "id number" and a warrant number. I wasted a good 15 minutes of his time before I broke character.
