Received a call about finalizing a loan/credit card that I did not apply to. I let the phone call go to voicemail and the transcription is as follows "Hi, this is Evelyn with Funding Union, West Coast Branch and I've been trying to reach you over the past few days. I left a voicemail and sent a text last week, but I haven't heard back. So, I just wanted to follow up personally. I'm the one assigned to your file and it looks like we are almost there. Everything is approved and ready to go. I just need to confirm a couple quick things, specifically income related and if it's easier, you can also complete that online through the loan portal. If you've got a minute." The voicemail cuts off there without completing. I also never received a text or phone call prior to this one. This is clearly a scam/fraud

They left the following message:

“Hi, this is Evelyn with lending unions West Coast branch. I've been trying to reach you over the past few days. I left a voicemail and sent a text last week but I haven't heard back so I just wanted to follow up personally. It looks like we're almost there. Everything's almost approved and go. We just need to confirm a couple quick things specifically income related. You can also complete that online to the loan portal If you've got a minute now press two to speak with me or someone from the underwriting team directly and if you've already taken care of your funding great otherwise this approval is set to expire by the end of July so that means this Thursday is the last day to wrap things up? You're always welcome to reapply down the road, but I'd love to help you finalize it now if we can Again to move forward press two now or give us a call at 844-986-6680 to opt out of future calls press nine…”

13642241322 Deposited a new message:

"So I just wanted to follow up. I'm the one assigned to your file. It looks like we're almost there. Everything's nearly approved and ready to go. I've received virtually the same voicemail from someone claiming to be Evelyn from The Lending Union West Coast Branch from dozens of phone numbers. I've blocked all of them, but I keep receiving the same calls every day, and they ask to be called back at 888-919-5284. The voicemail goes, "Hi this is Evelyn with the Lending Union West Coast Branch. I've been trying to reach you over the past few days. I left a voicemail and sent a text last week, but I haven't heard back so I just wanted to follow up. I'm the one assigned to your file. It looks like we're almost there, everything's nearly approved and ready to go. We just need to confirm a couple details like income related questions address verification. You can also take care of those online through the loan portal. If you have a moment right now press 2 to speak with me or someone from underwriting."

I have never inquired with anyone about obtaining a loan.

I have been receiving multiple phone calls every single day for the last four weeks using the same message. A woman named Evelyn calling from the lending union about a loan application that needs to be finalized. I block the numbers and they keep calling from different numbers and it’s always the same exact message .Today, the number they called me from was. 475-376-3024. I have received numerous calls 2-3x per day for weeks from different numbers. I have blocked the almost all the numbers the spam caller calls from, but they continue to call from new different numbers. This person Evelyn calls and leaves voicemails several times a day and this is going on 3 weeks leaving voicemails etc I never inquired about this place I pressed the option 9 to opt out even though I never opted in I screamed at her yesterday and said never to call again I’ve blocked this number and others she calls on and reported junk and scam but she keeps calling I’m in the process of filling a harassment lawsuit as soon as they figure out where the call is originating from

A toll free number with starting with 844, 855, or 866, would leave a voicemail purporting to be Evelyn the Lending Union West Coast Branch stating that she has been trying to connect about a funding approval and the receipient of the caller's file is nearly complete. She asks the caller to press two to connet with underwriting or to call a toll free number. Scam caller has been leaving the same voicemail everday around the afternoon time for the past few weeks.
