I was contacted by Amazon and said that I owed them $1,537.35 even though I've never had an Amazon account. They said that if I didn't pay that fraud charges would be filed against me. A woman told me that I could pay through two Wal-Mart gift cards to have the charges taken away. I bought two Wal-Mart gift cards, one for $500 and the other for $300. I took photos of the cards and send them to her. She gave me her employee ID number and my case number. She never called back after I sent the money.

I was contacted by phone from a girl, Jasmine, who claimed to be with Amazon. She even gave me her Amazon employee badge number (AM22074081). Said my account had a suspicious charge. She had given me the names of people who tried to hack my account. David William and Robert Jordan. 1201 Highway Drive, Santa Clara Calif, 92705. Not sure if these are real. She transferred me to a man. His name was Hector and phone number 646-965-6161. Another man also got involved a little later. His name was Jason and was portrayed as a Sr account manager for Amazon. His number is 206-426-4516.

In order to clear the charge to my account, they had a little program pop up and asked me to enter the cost of the charge. I entered 400 but the program changed it to 4000. Now it was portrayed as a bad problem. They found the last 4 digits of my bank account. Not sure how that was done. They also had a screenshot of my checking transactions, which looked like a screenshot, but had the existing balance at the time. (Note: They advise me they had the accounts open for transacting to and I was not to go open them or other problems would occur.) To “fix” this problem, I would need to correct it by buying gift cards. This was done.

The next day I received phone call from Jason. He stated he was a Sr account manger for Amazon. He was contacting me to help correct the accounts. He told me I was going to be compensated for all the issues I had. The amount was to be double of the “mistake”. It was not a simple fix. Their account was a business account and mine was a personal account. They monies could not be transferred directly. I would have to buy gift cards to give to them. They would then apply that to their account and then transfer the amount back to mine. That would then clear the matter up. This was done.

This did not happen.

Since this time, I have received calls from Jasmine and Jason.

I once again had a call left on my phone saying that they were Amazon and were charging my account with $110 and putting it on my account number. I do not have an Amazon account, I don't even know who Amazon is.

there is a scam company that is using amazon as their contact name sending emails saying that the customers account is being suspended unless they verify their information. When the information is put in the individual or individuals are charging the cards in different states and different companies. This particular account they hit belongs to a veteran and it is against the law! They need to be shut down and prosecuted and put in jail!!! we are willing to press charges stand up in court anything need to bring them to justice! They use emails and have attached invoice templates that appear to look real. [email protected] [email protected] is the email information, ?????????????????????account@amazon??.com????? ????

Telling me that someone had just made a purchase on my amazon account. Called 3 times within 1/2 hour. 412-464-4408, 412-464-5501, 412-464-7474 are the 3 numbers they were calling from.

Claimed to be Amazon Support, claimed my E-mail account had been hacked by Chinese hackers. In the 1st place, I purchased a protection plan from what I, at the time, assumed was MSN Tech support about a year ago. I purchased a 5 year plan. I am now pretty sure that I was scammed at that time (don't trust google search phone numbers). At any rate, IF I paid for 5 years, I should not be hacked anyway.

Supposedly a charge to my amazon account for an iPhone the calls are usually listed unavailable but today it came from a George Davenport (719)744-4005 @0956 on 10/22/2021 and again at 1201 from 7197442211 no name

Stated a very large purchase was made on Amazon using my credit card. Press 1 if i did not make the purchase.

The call said, Hello this is Daniel from Amazon, someone has been messing with your Amazon account and your name is attached to it and the is an amount of $1499. that is due on this account and I need to collect this amount today. The call was made from a local number her in Ava, Missouri *************). I called the number and got an answering machine so I left a message and told them what had happened so they would know that there phone number had been compromised. I have reported this to the Do Co Sheriffs office, the attorney generals office and updated her phone number on the no call list here in Missouri. She also received calls from 6 other local numbers all starting last night, October 11th, around 5 pm and continuing through this morning before 11:30 AM, October 12th, when she called me crying. The other local numbers were either disconnected, no longer in service or the call could not be completed as dialed. Yes I did call all of them back. I was mad. The following are those numbers: 4************ ********* ********* ********* ******** *** *************

Received a text message stating oder for Samsung Galaxy for $924.99 would be charged to my card. Not you please call 18334456677. Upon calling this number, a man with asian accent answered. Asked me my name. I gave it to him and he stated he would check my account. I informed him I have no account with Amazon. He then stated he would assist me in identifying "the hackers". He asked me to go to Play Store and download. I refused, and told him, "not downloading anything and he is to remove my phone number immed. He terminated the call. I called this number again and this time a woman answered, again with an asian accent, informed her of my prev call and that I needed them to remove my info. She too terminated the call. I called the number again; this time the first guy answered the phone again. I told him of my prev two calls and this would be the last one. I informed him I would be reporting this phone number as well as a copy of the text message to the BBB. He stated we are legit business and he just needed my information. I again refused and this time I terminated the call.

I keep receiving calls from Amazon. Billing me over $1000. I keep telling them I don't have an Amazon account. If I don't answer they leave a message. I did press number one to speak with a representative. The man was rude. He was not professional. They always call from a 440 area code. I do not have the phone number.

I keep getting calls from Amazon saying I owe $2,000.00.

Received a phone call from a scammer in Toledo saying they were from Amazon & were ready to deliver a I-Phone 13 to them & they owed $1,000. . It was a phishing call. She didn't bite she knew it was a scam.

Caller used Real Time Text. Said he was with Amazon. Told me someone purchased a $1000 tv on my account. Said I had to go to Google Play Store to cancel order. When I said he was a scammer and I'd call the cops, he hung up. I contacted Amazon. They agreed it was a scammer.

Saying that I have an account with Amazon and that I made a purchase for $199.00 and another for $1499.00. I no longer have an account with them and also have not purchased with them.

On 9/29/21 I received a phone call claiming they were from Amazon. He said his name was Daniel and gave me his ID number, phone number as 614-876-15**, and address as **** ****** **n Rd, ********, OH *****. He was very hard to understand. He told me there was a overdue charge on my Amazon account for $1499 and it needed to be paid. I told him I did not make any such charge and I do not even have an Amazon account. I suggested he find out who did and ask them for the money or he could go scam somebody else.

I received a phone call. I did not answer as I did not recognize the number. They left a voicemail. When I listened to the voicemail, it said that it was Amazon calling regarding an order I made. The message also stated if I did not place this order, please call their customer support number and report it. When I did I told the alleged representative that I did not order anything from Amazon. I have never ordered anything from Amazon. Nor, have I authorized anyone to make a purchase using my information. He proceeded to tell me my name and my phone number were used and they were trying to make a purchase of $450.00. I told the alleged representative this was fraud and to please delete my phone number from their call list. He kept harassing me. I hung up. I blocked the number they used to call me. While I was typing this report, Amazon called again. Both phone numbers are listed above.

This person sent an email that looked like from Amazon. It had a charge for a $999 laptop. It also had a customer service number to call, in case I didn't make this purchase. So I called the number provided ( from a different phone than my own) and the person stated they were from Amazon. I told them I received an email about a purchase I didn't make. He asked me for a order number, which I provided from the email. After moments, he said he could see that order going to Ohio ( which it Did state that on the email) and he asked me into confirm my last few purchases. I told him that this didn't seem right because Amazon doesn't ask these questions for confirmation and I think this is a scam. He cursed at me and said that I will be responsible for the charges and hung up.
