My husband purchased a product on amazon. I received an email from the scammer, saying they were with the manufacturing company and there was an automatic renewal to send 12 cases at $1,200. I called the help line and they said he must have hit auto renewal by accident give me the IP ADDRESS so we can take care of it. They also wanted my credit card information to verify the purchase. I just hung up because I will not give out my information. They keep calling me stating that it is from Amazon account recording. Calling about fraud activity. I just hang up because I don't have an amazon credit card and I don't want to give information to scammers.

Received a phone message on Wednesday 11, 2021 at approximately 10:30 am . Caller said a purchase on Amazon for $349.99 was charged on my VISA. I was instructed to ignore this message if I had placed this order but if I didn't, I was to call Amazon support at 217-262-0939. I checked my Amazon account and my VISA statement and saw no such purchase was made. I did not call this number and erased this message.

They were calling to confirm autorenew my Amazon membership for 39.99 which much higher than I have ever paid. In order to stop this I had to talk to someone and provide info at which point i ended the call

Claim they are calling about a $900 phone purchase being mailed to Maryland from my Amazon account. I pressed "1" as suggested by the recording and a woman with a definite accent said she was from Amazon. Why is Amazon calling me!?! No money was exchanged nor did I answer her. As soon as I heard the accent from ?India?, not sure, definite accent and female. I gave no information. Just hung up and checked to see if anyone is being scammed by calls for phones purchased from an Amazon account.

They stated that an online purchase had been made and I should contact them if this information was not accurate by calling the following ************. I spoke with an individual who then tried to have me access my personal information to cancel an order which I had already informed them I had not authorized or made. The call was ended buy me disconnecting.

I received a text from “Amazon” giving me an order number for a purchase. Supposedly I purchased an iPhone Pro and it stated that I will be charged $899.97. The thing that got me was the very last sentence of the text says “ call 855-***-7501 if not done by you. I’ve been a Amazon customer for many years and I’ve never gotten a text. They send me emails and never have they said at the end of an order confirmation if this wasn’t you call this number. When I looked up the number the text was sent by it comes up as a personal cell number with a name and an address which is not the Amazon company themselves. Total scam!

I've got a few calls from a rep from amazon saying my shipment is ready to be delivered. They said it would be $1005 for the shipping so I just hung up and called my credit card company to make sure everything was good. I have not made any purchases from amazon.

I got a call this morning. They said they were Amazon, and I had ordered an Apple Ipad for over $1000. They wanted my account information and I would not give it to them. Then I hung up and called the real Amazon and they said there was no record of an order. Next, I called my bank to alert them.

I received a call from a person representing amazon. They stated that a charge was made to my credit card for $399.99. The person I spoke with had an India accent and identified himself as David Smith. How many people from India do you know with a last name "Smith"?When he gave me his last name that threw up a red flag. I PLAYED along and he wanted access to my computer. The real Amazon would never ask for access. That is when I called his hand and told him that this was a scam and I was reporting this call to the BBB. I have had several of these calls and they are always people with a India accent and their last name is always SMITH. BEWARE of these calls. Amazon will never contact you by phone but by text or email. I hope the ScamPulse.com can catch these people and prosecute them.

I got multiple calls from an automated Amazon dialer. The message indicates someone from Dayton, Ohio was attempting to charge $729 to my Amazon account, and if I didn't recognize the charge to press one. I pressed one, and an Indian woman asked if I used internet technology to access Amazon. She said: "you see I am not asking for your personal information". She offered to give me her employee number. I told her I was reporting her to the Better Business Bureau, she replied "Go ahead", then I got calls one right after another. All of them had my area code. I blocked all of them.

Received an email from (Amazon) about shipping confirmation to an out of state address not belonging to me.

an order placed for an apple 16' MacBook pro ( late 2019, silver) and a Bose Smart Sound bar 300 (black)

Credit card amount $2,984.00

I did not place any such order.

Received a call from the above phone number. A recorded voice said that this is amazon contacting you about an apple phone that was recently purchased on your account. We need to verify you made this purchase. Press 1 to speak to an agent. So I did. Then it said to speak to an agent press 1. So I did. Then a man named Mark answered and I said why are you doing this, and he hung up.

I have received multiple phone calls from different numbers stating that my Amazon purchase is scheduled for delivery tomorrow and that my bank account will be debited $1587. I am told to press one if I believe this is not my purchase I have not purchased any items from Amazon and have pressed one to report as requested in the phone call because I believe this to be a scam.

someone is saying that they are amazon and confirming an order of a gaming laptop to be sent to Tennessee... upon speaking to Amazon, a rep stated that she sees no order on account and there is no order.... and no money was taken out of the bank account
