I receive a call from Amazon (Allegedly) stating that I had a charge on my account for $1.200.00 (approx & not sure of the item) and he wanted to verify that I had ordered the item. I told him that I had not ordered anything from Amazon in some time. I sign on to Amazon and determine that there was no order pending. He told me that 'it was because he had blocked it. That's when I told him I would contact Amazon to determine what the problem was. he repeatedly told me he could take care of it and all I had to do was change my password and all would be fine. That's when I hung up. He called back 3 more times The first was from Quest Systems and the last 3 were from Homestead, Fl. I talk with Amazon and she told me that there were no charges since May, which was correct.

It said my Amazon account has been locked because the billing information I provided does not match does not match the information on file with the credit issuer. If asks me to verify the billing name, address and phone number stored on my credit card. It states if I don't complete the process within 3 days, all my pending orders will be canceled.

They call an individual stating they’re from Amazon and that somebody has hacked your account for over $1000. They are trying to have you set up an anti-theft deterrent on your computer and gain your information. Don’t do it!!! I contacted the official Amazon and was reassured they would not call like that my account was fine.

Will receive the call and auto-recording says a fraud charge coming from ** in the amount of over $700 is being used for Amazon acct to call them back or press one to speak to a representative. I called Amazon to confirm and they said it is a fishing scam. Not to give ANY info. I am getting back-to-back called all day from a new number because I keep blocking numbers.

Was called by a person claiming to be an Amazon representative by the name of Victoria Blair with an ID #LM6594. In reference to an order totaling 1,500 dollars for a computer and iPod that I did not order. It would have been delivered to New York. Once I told her I didn't place an order and knew of nobody in New York, she Said she would stop shipment. She asked did I live with anyone and did someone else place the order from the household. She asked did I drive. She then told me not to use my phone and cell phone because they might be listening to the phone conversation since they had all my information. She then said she would call next morning. She did not so I called Amazon only to find out she didn't work there. Amazon stated they would NEVER call customers regarding shipments. I received 5 calls from different local numbers with actual business names from the scammer. These business names were M.R. Williams and General parts Inc. She called back and wanted to discuss what we talked about the previous evening. I told her I would not discuss anything further until she gave me a number to contact her and verify that she was who she was claiming to be. she stated she would not be asking me for any card numbers. To which I said, I would not provide it anyhow. She said hold on and let me get my manager and she never returned.

Caller identified himself as a representative from Amazon. There was a charge for a IPhone for over $1000.00. My account was frozen till the issue was resolved. Had a few words for him and hung up. Later dialed the number, a woman answered, I said a few words and hung up. Calling back, the call went to voicemail.

- Hesston, KS, USA

caller said he was from Amazon security, and was notifying me of a $60 fraudulent charge on my amazon account. He told me to check my amazon account, and in fact a fraudulent charge appeared. He gained access to my computer, told me there were 157 hackers attempting to get in to it, and to help him secure my computer, I was told to go to Kroger and buy a Target gift card for $500. He said within 5 minutes there would be a $500 refund on the credit card I used to buy the gift card. Unfortunately, I did as I was told. He told me to scratch off the card number, take a photo, and text it to him. I did. He said the number of hackers had been reduced through this process, but many were remaining. He said to buy 4 more Target gift cards at $500 each, and do the same thing. Scratch off the security codes, take a pic of all 4, and text him the photo. I did. Now more hackers had been stopped, but some remained. He told me to buy 6 more gift cards. I said NO, I'm done. I disconnected him and called my credit card, told them I believed Iwas being scammed. They placed a hold on my account, and removed the $500, and the $2000 charges. However, those charges have since been re-posted to my credit card, because in fact I purchased the gift cards. Because I personally purchased them, regardless of who told me to do so, I am liable, and must pay. Expensive lesson.

Left a message stating they were from Amazon and that there is an outstanding bill with them . Wanted a return call back asap.

Once on Saturday and three times today on Sunday, my landline has recorded three automated messages. They all sound like a woman's voice. Most of the message is not recorded, because the automated voice begins speaking as soon as the phone answers, while my welcome message is still playing. The part that is recorded advises me to "press one to connect with our Amazon Care Representative. Thank you."

- San Angelo, TX, USA

Recorded message advises of fraudulent charges in the amount of $xxx.xx. Advises to press 1 for more info from rep. Pressed 1 & told the jerk to put my number on the do not call list & I hung up.

- New Albany, IN, USA

My bank card date expired so was going to update and noticed in security settings a different phone other than what I have showing so decided better not update but should just call them tomorrow. 4:31 pm on 5/22 I received text from 401-239-2762 saying my purchase won me $1000 Amazon giftcard. I never purchased anything recently nor had I give out bank card info. I did text them stating I just sent their text to Bbb and Amazon though..please beware when bank info is needed

Says I purchased a computer I did not and said a 1500.amount

Claimed, they would be pursuing a "claim" against me regarding my cancelation of an Order to Amazon**I HAVE NEVER "ever" contacted Amazon for anything (AND WILL NOT Ever)

I've been getting calls from Amazon stating that I owed $1,400. They had my name and my address. I don't have a computer or Amazon.
