Social Security Administration Reports & Reviews (951)

I was left a message that the social security administration needed me to call as they were going to have a court order on me. I called and the person in a foreign voice said social security administration. I said I was recording and wanted to know what this was about. He started to stammer and I said I thought this was a scam and don’t call me, he said [censored] you, what do I want to do about it. I said stop calling me and get a job, he said, this is my job, to scam and did I have a problem with it. I said yes, don’t call me.

On 5-7-19 I received three voice mails on my cell phone stating the I needed to call 443-300-7993 to discuss my case file for the Social Security Administration. This is my last and final call.

"This phone call is from the Social Security Administration to tell you your social security number has been suspended" - in a male's automated voice

I received a phone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration, stating I may have a warrant out for my arrest for money laundry and drug trafficking. They said a Red Toyota Corolla was found near the boarder with drugs and my information was found inside the car along with blood. They asked if I was aware of this and if not I may be a victim of identity theft. They transferred me over to someone who claimed to be the DEA that was on this case. Once I asked how I knew if this call was legitimate and why I hadn’t received a certified letter in the mail and how they got my phone number, the man immediately hung up.

These calls went on over a 2-day period with threats of arrest if I did not go to the bank and comply with their requests.

They have called over 10 times each day since may 4, 2019. They to call and say they are the social security administration.

I received a unknown phone number once but chose to ignore it because it was a 888 number. I was left a blank voice message. Well I got called by that same number a second time. I decided to answer it thinking it might be someone important. I automatically received a machine telling me to push some numbers to talk to someone from the Social Security Administration. I was told my SSN had been locked because of some suspicious activity reported do to my SSN being used in the said activities. I knew they were full of crap and it had to be a scam. I know that no branch of Government would contact you by call first but via mail. I told them that I was recording this call and would give it to law enforcement. He told me to get them on the phone this instant and to a 3-way call with him. He said if I hung up that I would be a coward. I did report him after he used another number to call and blow up my phone 4 times in a row. I clicked the red button and ignored them as soon as it started ringing. So far he or any other have not called me back.

- Woodville, AL, USA

Received call from 1-931-295-8668 and didn't answer call. Voice message was left on cell phone that my social security number had been compromised and was being suspended. This is the second time I had received a call like this and had already call our local social security office and was told it was a scam. I didn't mean to call the number back but hit send instead of back on my phone. It called and a foreigner that I could hardly understand picked up and I asked where he said he was from and he said social security administration. I proceeded to tell him he was a scam and he asked how I know that, I told him I had already contacted our social security office. When I said this, the man started cursing me out calling me nasty words/names, and kept on saying it. I laughed at him and he finally hung up.

This number, 315-907-1433, left me a voicemail that they were the Social Security Administration. I called back & they stated my SSN had been suspended. Then asked me to verify my SSN & DOB which I did not. I could hear a lot of calls in the background like it was a call center I did not verify any information, caller had a strong accent.
