Got a phone call from this number.. It was an automated voice telling me that my social security number had been reported for fraudulent activity and that I should call back immediately before this is reported to the US Treasury department and I go to jail. I didn't call back cause I knew it was a scam and blocked the number. But wanted to report it quickly so that they are shut down before they dupe some elderly people out of money.

I received two different calls both representing the Social Security Office. The first one said my social security number was used to open ten different account numbers and they asked me for my social security number but I didn't give it to them. The second call stated my social security number was used to rent a vehicle that was stopped at the S border with 22 pounds of cocain and $50k wired into a bank account with my social security number. They didn't ask for any money they just wanted my social security number.

I recieved a call on my cell phone from number 1-800-654-1538. They left a voicemail saying my SS# has been compromised and to call. When I called in from my work phone (a different number) they answered and asked when I received a call.

I said what does that matter?!

They hung up.

I called again from my work number, someone else answered.

I said I just received a message asking me to call this number, what’s it about?

They said it’s your SS# it’s been compromised- and they asked me for my name...

I said you called me aren’t you supposed to have the information?

They then replied I’m looking for

“Angela “ something - that’s not me.

I proceeded to then tell them I’m reporting them to the ScamPulse.com - and they hung up.

Scammer stated his name was Eric Foster from social security admin. Stated I was part of an criminal investigation that involved possible homicide and drug trafficking as well as $89,000 in credit card fraud. He Had my social security number and a previous address. Scammer claimed that us marshalls had been tracking me and phone lines had been tapped. After calling number back at end of call lines became crossed and I could hear another lady/victim on the call. Needless to say my information was compromised and this scammer was exposed due to lines becoming crossed.

The ScamPulse.com suggests calling the Social Security Administration first to verify whether or not your Social Security number has been comprised before returning this type of call.
