- Augusta, GA, USA

I received a call at 10am from someone claiming to be with the social security administration and proceeding to tell me that there was a warrant for my arrest and 9 other charges pending against me. I was told that I need to go to my bank and withdraw all of my moneys except for a minimum balance needed to hold the account open. Thankfully when I got to the bank myself as well as bank personnel realized that they were trying to scam me. I abruptly told the person on the phone that I didn’t believe him and that I knew I was being scammed.

I got a call and the person said that my Social Security was going to be cancelled. They left this number for me to call. Of course I didn't call them.

- West Jordan, UT, USA

I received a voicemail on my phone saying that this phone number is found to have fraudulent activity and to not disregard this call and call back at this number 315-284-3404 before they take legal action against me..

So I called and they wanted my birth date and social security number I told them I don’t want to give that information over the phone and they hung up on me...

Received phone call stating there was a "legal enforcement movement" on my SSN for fraudulent activity.

I received a robo- call from a voice claiming to be from the social security administration reporting that my social security number had been suspended due to suspicious activity. The call was then picked up by a human voice that said “ Thank you for calling the Social Security Adminstration, how can I help you.” ( It sounded like a man with a Indian accent speaking on English.). I replied that I did not call them, they called me. He then asked me for my name so that he could look up the information. I asked if he could give me his name and a callback number or website that I could verify who he was. He hung up.

Call from the Social Security Administration that action is being taken against me. I informed I did not believe this call was real and that he should send me a certified letter at my address that he has on file. He only repeated I'm going to sue you, finally stated "I'm going to sue you *&^%$ and hung up.

I received a suspicious call supposedly from the SSA saying that my number had some suspicious activity on it. I am concerned that a family member might have actually done this, but can't be certain. It was a robo call. But it was enough to scare me.

Received a call that my SSN had been cancelled.

Scammer called stating they were from the Social Security Administration and that social security number had been used in illegal activity. Scammer then stated that social security number would be immediately removed from system and that the individual would be prosecuted if we did not contact them immediately. My daughter is a minor and this can not possibly be the case as well as the fact that the Social Security Administration assured me they do not contact anyone by this means.

I received two threatening calls the morning of 7/12/19 from officer Maria Gonzalez representing the Social Security administration. The first call told me that suspicious activity had been reported on my social security number and that I needed to call her immediately at 346-239-7170. She called back in less then 10 minutes and then said my social security number had been suspended and they had issued an arrest warrant for me and I needed to call the moment I received this call. She again left the same 346-239-7170 number for me to call her and the phone number she was calling from was again blocked. Her voice was very scary & threatening.
