Received a call that my SSN was used in connection to crimes of money laundering & drug trafficking. I was told the Dept of Treasury was investigating me and caller required my SSN to verify they were speaking to the correct person. I was addressed by a last name I haven’t used since 2013 when I divorced.

I received a call from an unknown 518 number. I did not answer. A voicemail was left and upon listening to the voicemail it appeared to be a robo call with no information provided other than that the phone number for the social security administration is 5182827588 which, via numerous google searches I cannot verify to be true.

518 area code is for Albany new york. I live in North Carolina. The social security office in that area utilizes 800 numbers not local npanxx.

I just got a scam call from someone claiming to be an officer from the Social Security Administration. My mother fell for this scam before, so I thought I would pass the phone number on to you. It was 747-207-9762. This was also the number that the recording asked me to call back. Thanks.

The call is a robot who speaks with a foreign accent. The call is not clear at all but the automated message says that this is the social security administration calling you regarding a legal action that has been filed against you for fraud involving your social security information. Please call (458) 215-2376 before legal action is taking.

I called the number back and a male answered immediately saying, "Social Security Administration how may I help you?". I stated that I have turned this number over to the authorities becasue this is a scam and please do not call me again. The male said that is fine ma'am, that is fine.

I have blocked the number from my phone as well as my daughter has blocked the number as they have been calling her as well.

This same person calls several times a day to our business (hair salon)and always starts the conversation with "this is the social security administration calling in regards to fraud you are doing on your s.s#....please don't hang up as you will have your bank accounts frozen and will be arrested for fraud...then the guy gives some fake badge id #, and when you tell them it's a business and whose ss # are they talking about they hang up!!!! We are in the service industry and I answer phones all day long.....it's extremely annoying to have this person always calling....both the numbers are bogus as I've tried to call back and they ring busy. Please handle this as I have provided both the numbers they have called from.

I was call and was told my SS# had been used fraudulently. Then I was asked if I wanted to speak to the investigator who was in charge of my case. This person came on and said my # had been used fraudulently and wanted to verify my SS #. I told him that I don't give my number out on the phone and hung up.

I received a call from a potential spam because they left a voicemail. Only half of it recorded since it was a tapped message, but they said they needed my signature. If I did not give it to them they would then have to serve me at the local sheriff's department at which point law enforcement and media would be involved. If I failed to appear at the sheriff's department, this case would be prosecuted without me and my benefits would be suspended. For any questions prior to the arrival of documents, you have one last chance to contact our Department of Social Security Administration. The number is 681-242-4478. By this call you have been officially notified. Thank you.

The caller asked for last four digits of social security number. I was told that there’s fraudulent activity related to my social security number.

They called and told my mother that she was going to go to jail if she did t give them her social security number she would go to jail. I called the number when I got home and he said answered as Social Security Administration. I told him that this number called my mother and threatened her. I know that the Social Security doesn’t make calls like this. Call this number as a Jerry will answer.
