- Seattle, WA, USA

Post card received from “County Deed Records - Home Warranty Division”

- Saint Paul, MN, USA

Post card indicating my Home Warranty Will Expire. I do not have a home warranty. I believe this is a phishing attempt to get personal finance information so that they can charge fraudulently for a non existent warranty and use this information to further steal money from an individual.

- Cincinnati, OH, USA

I called the number on the card to obtain more information as I knew this was a scam. I received the reps name as Thomas. He refused to provide his company name and continued to ask my name and information from the card. I advised that since he could not provide me with further information or answer my questions I couldn't answer his questions. He said that it was important since my Home Warranty will expire. I had to laugh and ended call after he became rude that I would not provide information.

Call 1-888-413-5452 now before its's too late and you expiration date expires leaving your home at risk of expensive repairs and/or product replacement."

- Kailua Kona, HI, USA

We are a mortgage holder for an individual. We received a letter from "Home Warranty Division" addressed to our mortgagee at our P.O. Box, indicating that we had secured a warranty on this individual's home (we did not) that was in danger of expiring or had already expired. The only contacting information on the letter is the phone number 1-888-404-4504. The whole tone of the letter is trying to imply that the homeowner had some type of home warranty coverage that we, the mortgage holder, had put in place for them (again, we did not), and that the homeowner needed to act quickly to renew this coverage. Interestingly, at the bottom of the letter in smaller print is the following disclaimer, "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder." I hope this information helps anyone who reads this not to fall for this scam.

- Olympia, WA, USA

Immediate response was said to be needed for expiration of warranty to be avoided.. The ‘lender info’ was said to be classified for privacy.

it was addressed to an adult disabled person that lives with their surviving elderly parent.

- Longview, WA, USA

Got a postcard type letter stating my home warranty was going to expire soon, and to call them so I wouldn't have a lapse in coverage. No company was listed. No address was listed for said company. One side said "Home Warranty Division". Flip it over and same font, says "County Deed Records"

- Lima, OH, USA

Warranty Replacement card sent via US Mail. First class mail, US Postage Paid, St. Louis MO, Permit No. 1999 . Card request calling 1-888-413-5452

- Rochester, NY, USA

The company identified themselves as Home Warranty Division. They have been calling my phone number for over 2 years. Hundreds of harassing calls. They are trying to contact a client I represent/represented. I have asked for my number and her file to be removed from their database dozens and dozens of times, never done. I am on the Federal DNC list. Indicating these folks are operating outside the legal marketing arena. Every legitimate company is required to purge against that DNC list. Just recently received a letter stating "final notice", addressed to my client. The most ridiculous part is my client received the letter addressed to her as she resides at an assisted living facility. Just despicable. Need them to cease and desist.

- Cullman, AL, USA

Arrived via the postal service. Plain envelope, with FINAL NOTICE at the top.

Attention: (name redacted)

It is important that you contact our office at 1-877-731-3872 upon receiving this notice to avoid any unnecessary delays in your coverage before 3/14/2025.

This notice is to inform you that the property's home warranty at (redacted) may be expiring or has already expired. The letter continues in this same vein.

- Oberlin, KS, USA

I received a letter in the mail stating that I need to contact the office to avoid any unnecessary delays on my home warranty. Saying I need to contact them immediately. They then stated in the letter that I will be held liable for all costs associated with any home repairs if I fail to do so.

- Battle Ground, WA, USA

This was a postcard received in the mail. It looks very official. It is 2-sided. One side has at the top of the card "Home Warranty Division" and the other side of the card has "County Deed Records". It states that it is a warranty replacement notice for Mechanical Systems. I did not call the number which is 1-888-413-5452. It gives a registration i.d. number and a pin number. This is clearly a scam because we don't have this type of warranty coverage. However, since it is so official looking, I can see how someone could easily fall for it.

- Keaau, HI, USA

Second Letter in postal mail stating my home warranty ( never had one) expired and need to call immediately to resolve. No return address's, no email address of sender.it states; lender info : classified for privacy .

- Tacoma, WA, USA

Received a mail claiming to be from "County Deed Records" or "Home Warranty Division" depending upon which side you look at.

Mail claims home warranty is expiring in a few weeks and that II need to call 1-888-413-5452 "for uninterrupted protection" and that "Registration is required for continued protection".

There is no other information in the mail to identify the sending company.

There is a Registration ID that, judging by the internet, can be used to uniquely identify my record in the scammer's system.

I should also note that the mail was sent to my Father in Law who recently moved in and absolutely DOES NOT have any claim or control over the property.
