The scammer provided a letter with a fake voucher and a phone number. I was asked to call the number because my home warranty was expiring or has expired. I was given a deadline to respond. My wife called the number and the person attempted to sell her home warranty. She asked how much it would cost and was told that it would not break the bank. They did not tell her the cost

Got a letter from Home Warranty Division with no information other than their phone number saying my home warranty is expiring or expired and immediate response was requested. They had my correct name, address and my mortgage company and a voucher for $199. No price of the policy or any company information.

I received a postcard in the mail and it said my home warranty expired last month. I called the number on the card and signed up for a home warranty with the business not knowing it was a scam.

- South Saint Paul, MN, USA

rec'd a post card addressed to me from the Home Warranty Division - for inside/outside mechanical systems.

Other side states in BOLD letters - COUNTY DEED RECORDS - and below - it states REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

No company name. I'm not recorded in any county.

I'm a renter... but I could understand how a homeowner could be a bit confused.

- Denver, CO, USA

I received a letter from home warranty division revoking coverage. Seems to me this fraudulent company could be tracked down by permit number 699 zip code 92799. The us post office should cancel their account and the fake businessshould be shut down

- Clovis, NM, USA

Received letter in the mail for a Home Warranty Division. There was a Voucher for $199.00 and it said to call 888-404-4504. I called and gave the certificate number and they said in order to complete I would need to pay an additional $250.00. I replied that I have not had this before. He said that I was on the list and would need to pay. He said his name is Luke, and business name is Zurich out of St Louis. It included a Record ID number to use when calling the business. The letter also included the name of my lender.

- Midlothian, IL, USA

The letter claims Home Warrarnty Division 2024 Final Notice it was about to expire or might have already expired and it gave an expiration date of 5/15/2024 which had past. It listed,my name, the Bank Name and the company name to the actual warranty company. It said to call 1-877-671-1027 immediately or the coverage will be lost. It did not have an actual signature but it did have a name printed and in slanted form of George Walker as Program Director. It provided Customer ID which began with HOM followed by 7 digits.

- South Bend, IN, USA

Received a letter with Fannie Mae listed as ‘Lender Info’ from Home Warranty Division’ with no on-line or mailing for return address. Letter stated that I would not have coverage for home repairs and maintenance if I did not respond by May 30. Called the 800 number and asked where they got their information and how is it that I have a Customer ID with a company I do no business with. Oh my gosh… I have now failed to sign on with them prior to the May 30 deadline! Agent would not answer my question about where they got my address and (inaccurate) mortgage information. Agent stated that I could not have their address or e mail information without signing on for this coverage. Does anyone do business with a company with no address or mail contact information?

This is the second notice that I received from the Home Warranty Department. The letter has a Presorted Standard U> Postage PAID sacrament, CO Permit #1935. First, my lender information is not what is listed on the letter. I have told them to remove my name from the mailing list but they continue to send this information. My next move is to file a lawsuit for attempted fraud and scam. Then I will file a complaint with the DOJ and the Post Master of the Post Office for possible fraud using phony Paid Permit #1935. It's time to shut down this company and have them hauled off to jail.

Received a postcard from Home Warranty Division giving notice to contact their offices so that we don’t have a lapse in coverage for active services, all repairs and replacements. They were asking for us to call them before it was too late, leaving our home at risk for expensive repairs and/or product replacement. It also had a title on the other side, “County Deed Records”, and listed other vague references (e.g. Dwelling, etc.).

We don’t have such an account, nor did we ask for their services, and this isn’t the first time we had received a similar request.

- Gold Beach, OR, USA

researched on internet before making contact, so scam attempt was unsuccessful.

Claiming to be a company that warrants our home, using our address in the letter.

Told us to call immediately to avoid lapse in coverage which would result in us being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs.

It said our expiration date was 5/2/2024 and their phone number was 1-800-223-9171

scammer had owner's full names, home address, and bank name

- Farmington, NM, USA

“This letter is to inform you that the property’s home warranty…may be expiring or may have already expired. Our records indicate that you have not contacted us yet to get your Home Warranty up to date. Call immediately as this will be our final attempt to notify you 1-888-404-4504.

THIS IS A SCAM! I am receiving unwanted unsolicited postal mail from Home Warranty Division. THIS NEEDS TO IMMEDIATELY PERMANENTLY STOP!
