Social Security Administration Reports & Reviews (951)

- Stevensville, MT, USA

Social Security suspended. Bank accounts and assets seized by DOJ, Federal Marshal blah blah etc. due to criminal activity in Texas. Money laundering, aiding and abetting stemming from address search 7609 Clairmont (sp?) zip 75089 obtained from abandoned 2014 Toyota Corolla in Texas. Accounts opened at B of A, Wells Fargo & ?? & ?? (my pen kept skipping) amounting to $2.5 million under the name of Julia Williams. I was running out of time to mess with him so when I asked "how do I fix this?" trying to get to the money part he then hinted at a percentage of the $2.5 million to stall arrest process. Wanted to fill out "asset verification" form over phone. I tried to stall for more info from him and he threatened me with police coming to pick me up right now for wasting nine minutes of the Federal Government's time.

Received a call from someone claiming to be with the Social Security Administration. They told me something was wrong with my number and I needed to contact them immediately or I would not received my check. Went to locate office and they told me it was a scam.

- Hutto, TX, USA

I received a call from this number 844-306-3953 stating that I had fraudulent activity on my social security card.

The representative asked me my name.

I asked the representative to speak to a supervisor. A supervisor by the name of Oscar White answered, I asked him why his rep answered the phone stating that they were the social security administration office. He tried to explain that all social security numbers are linked to cellphone numbers. I told him "No", they are not!

He asked me my name, as I told him he should have it he called me. He disconnected the call.

And now my number is blocked from calling them back.

CALLED AND SAID I HAD A WARRANT FOR MY ARREST IF I DIDNT PAY.

Did not answer this call but received a voice mail stating, "....we have received a legal notice from Federal Crime and Investigation Department to blacklist your Social Security number. Again, this call is from Social Security Administration." Followed by hotline number to return the call.

- White Deer, TX, USA

I received a call from Boston, MA and they said they were with the Social Security office. He had a heavy Indian accent and said that my social security number had been frozen because of laundering. He asked me to verify my number which I refused to do and told him that if he's the one calling me then he would have it. He said he needed to verify it and wouldn't give me the number. We got disconnected so I called back and the same man answered saying "Social Security Administration". There was a lot of noise in the background which made me suspicious. The number also had a pretty official sounding recording which made me think that others might be more apt to giving their information to them. The recording stated that they were the SSA and a call directory to leave a message or be routed to someone. I called the Pampa SSA who told me that there was no suspicious activity happening w/ my # and everything looked okay. My husband said that Pampa had released something about this type of scam which is why I called the ScamPulse.com in Amarillo to make sure that they were aware of what was happening.

This is a scam!

Received a call from a lady saying she was from the Social Security Administration. She started out by saying they are updating their files and went on to inquire about my income, what you are bringing in, bank statements, other income, whether or not I am on medicare, m.a., or anything else. She wanted to know what my address is (I gave it to her) and my phone number. My question is would the SSA call and inquire about these things? Or was this a scam?

Thank You
