So when you get this message (inaudible) kindly call us back at (530) 675-4342. I repeat (530) 675-4342. Do not disregard this notice and return this call before legal proceedings begin. - Grand Rapids, MI, USA

The scammer called me and wouldn't release any information about the call until I gave them my social security number. They told me they were from the Texas social security office and my social security number was going to be suspended because my social security number was tied to a criminal investigation in Texas where they found dna in a car rented under my name and social security number. And that my social security number was tied to accounts for money laundering through three banks. Once I realized it was possibly a scam I hung up.

- Memphis, TN, USA

Received a call from this number identifying themselves as the Social Security Administration (SSA) informing me that my account has been put on hold. They wanted me to provide them my social security number (SSN). I said they were the SSA and should already have that information. At that point they hung up on me. Just for kicks, I called them back and they answer the phone as the SSA and again asked for my SSN; my response was the same as before and they again hung up on me.

Was told he was calling from Texas, but the phone number registered as California in my phone. I hung up before any information could be gathered.

The caller stated they were the social security administration and that my social security number was used in an illegal transaction. Charges would be filed against me and my social security number would not be able to be used anymore. I needed to press 1 to talk to someone now or call 956-525-4344 to get the problem resolved.

Calls came up as H***, Marilyn and consumer blocked the call and they called back with a different phone number 410-692-8537 3 calls within 3 hours - and all left voicemails stating They have detected unlawful activity on consumers social security number and they are going to terminate his social security number. I received automated calls from different numbers, and the callers always say they work for the Social Security Administration and they suspect fraud for my social security number. They also say my social security number has been suspended. They tell me to press "1" for more information. I always hang up, so I don't know what happens if you press "1." The calls keep coming in from different numbers. Actually, the area code and first 3 digits are the same--the last 4 digits are different.

I have had several recorded phone calls from this telephone number 972-512-8909 with a message to call back because there has been fraudulent activity on my Social Security number. They said they were calling from the Social Security Administration. I called the number and it was a call center. Instead of giving my information, I called the ScamPulse.com and they informed me that this number was not associated with the Social Security Administration and that most likely, it may be a scam.

Left recorded voicemail instructing to call back before legal proceedings are filed against me. I called back and spoke with a male who tried to collect personal information. I wouldn't give him my info and then he hung up. I called back and spoke with a woman who tried to get my personal info. I asked her to provide more information about what this was about and she started to get combative and said something about the FBI and she's a Senior Office and if I'm not willing to cooperate they would have no choice but to proceed with legal proceedings against me.

As soon as my boyfriend told them to verify his address they got it wrong, and he wanted something official mailed to his house. The guy said he can email it and my boyfriend said no mailed to the house. So we started realizing that this was not right. So he asked ok I need to speak to a supervisor and the guy hung up. I called the number back angry and started cussing them out and they hung up. I called back again yelling and they hung up. I called back from 2 different phone numbers and cussing and yelling and they blocked all of my numbers.
