I had a call from the IRS (scam) threatening to file a law suit it came from the number 319-531-8205

A call was made to my husband's cell phone. They claimed to be the IRS and that we owed back taxes. They told him the payment needed to be made in $500 iTunes cards. They told my husband where to buy them in town. He bought 1 card at 1 store. He questioned as to whether it was legitimate they threatened him and said they were at the jail in town and would come and arrest him if he didn't pay. He was told to scratch off and tell them the number on the card so they could cash it. He bought 2 cards and only gave them the number on one of them. He went to the bank and asked them about this and they said a lady in town had been scammed the same way for $4,700! He was on the phone with them and said he was across the street from the jail. They persisted and when he said he was at the jail, they hung up. He was able to return the 1 $500 card that he had not scratched off thankfully. These people were SO persistent!! My husband is embarrassed that he fell for this scam and doesn't want anyone to know about it.
