I received two calls today claiming to be from the IRS and that they were suing me. I hung up both times without saying anything other than hello. On my caller ID it said the call came from Charlotte, NC.

I received a voicemail from 561-346-1152 stating that I owed money to the IRS. The voicemail did not specify the amount, just that I needed to contact them immediately to avoid any further penalties.

Supposedly, the IRS calls and warns that I am being sued because I owe tax money which I dont. They call twice a week on average.

I have not given them any information. I returned the phone call from the school phone. He asked which phone number I was receiving calls to, and then asked me to confirm my name and mailing address.

The call is orginating from Islip, NY.

3 months ago I received a voice message from someone from the IRS saying that if I didn't pay them, I would have a lawsuit against me. I contacted my local police department and they said this was a scam. I just received another voicemail from the IRS saying that I owed money to them and that I have a lawsuit against me unless I return the call to this "government" number, 646-558-6543. This time I knew it was a scam right away and wanted to report it to BBB.

I recd 2 calls (347-584-8649 & 661-246-2051)l this morning and it was a recording. A man, w/an accent, said he was Dan Lou and was from the IRS. He stated he had an arrest warrant for me -- did not specify. I ignored the call. I have been advised this was a scam.

left a voice mail message on my phone today that said....this is the IRS and the reason of the call is the IRS is filing a law suit against you...your address and employment is under state investigation. to get more on this case call now at our office at 1-206-823-3047 thank you...........That's all of the message. I did NOT call the number back.
