I received 2 phone calls from a person claiming to be from the IRS. They wanted my name and birthdate and last 4 digits of my ss#. When I questioned the person he became very irate and claimed it was not a fraudulent call. I then told him to never call my house again,and I am registerd on the do not call number. I would hate for an elderly person or anyone to fall prey to this scam because of fear from being sued by the IRS for back taxes. here are the 2 numbers they used,the first was a robo call and the second a man called. 1 712-823-8534 and 1 800 829-1040. They told my husband that if he didn't want to go to prison, he had to go to his local smiths market and buy an itunes card and put $250 on it and give them the info on the card

I'm reporting repeated attempts at fraud from phone number 347-390-8673. They've left 2 messages stating that the IRS is filing lawsuit on me and I must pay a large sum of money before being arrested. This is completely false. I pay all taxes on time and the IRS doesn't send computer generated voicemails when they sue someone.

Caller said he was with the Internal Revenue. He said that i owe 4,200 dollars in back taxes from 2012 - 2014 . when i started asking questions he got very angry and said the cops have a warrant for my arrest and they were on there way to arrest me, then he hung up.
