The person said he worked for Irs and that i owed a certain amount of money to them, a warrant was going out for my arrest when he hung the phone up. he said i was going to be put in jail . he wanted to know how much money was in my bank account. also he was from another country did speak english well.

received a call from 360-203-0018. They said they were the IRS calling regarding an enforcement document. the man named Chris Moen suggested that I call him back at 215-249-6010. I did not call as I'm aware this is a scam.

Received a phone message on Friday 7/15 at 10:30 am. The message said I would need to appear before a grand jury as a felony warrant would be issued for me if I didn't return their call to 516-734-0888. The caller ID showed Public INT NTWK after the phone number. The voice was a male voice, however it was muffled or he sounded drunk.

A recording keeps calling my house claiming to be the "IRS," and says that they are "filing a lawsuit against me." The number they leave is 406-941-1837, and it sounds like someone in another country answers. This could be very damaging for the elderly or someone who didn't know it was a scam! This has happened over a period of months, so they must be having some success scamming people.

I keep getting calls and voice mails from this number I was told I was being audited and when I asked why I didn't receive a letter in the mail I was told no one was home so it was sent back to the irs that's when I hung up. I get at least 2 voice mails and at least 3 calls a day. In the message it says attempt to collect a debt and something about a lawyer they talk so fast you can understand half of what was said. It is an automated voice

Caller said this is the IRS and you owe money from 2000. You need to come to Washington, DC right now. IRS has file a lawsuit against you and there will be a lien placed on your access.

Received voicemail asking to call "the department". Called number and was told this was Officer So and So (heavy accent, could not understand). Officer made a nasty comment stating he would f*&^% my a*&^%. Call was disconnected during comment. Only called number because all of the message was not left on voicemail.

Call stating that this is the final notice from the IRS and if I don't respond they will pursue a lawsuit against me. When I call back the number, they say no one is available to take my call.

Received a call from 717-202-4209 that said from Pennsylvania. The man had a strong accent and said they were the US Department of Treasury. He said that if I ignored his call, it would "cause problems".

Phone scam claiming IRS is filing suit

We received a phone call stating that we owe the IRS off of a 1040 Tax form. We do not owe the IRS any money.

Received a call from 646 313-3781 saying they were the IRS. They said we are being sued and to call them back.

I know this is a scam!!!

- Greenwood, SC, USA

Being sued. Called 347-390-8673. Foreign man answered phone call. He stated he was the IRS, he was an investigative officer. Hung up on gentleman, knew it was a scam.

I have received numerous calls saying that it is URGENT that I return the call as the IRS is filing a suit against me.

I have dealt with the IRS before and never ever did I receive a call likes this. They DO NOT call you.

So if you get this call ignore it like I do, it gets annoying on the voice mail but you can just erase it

Said they were the IRS, and I had my final notice of criminal activity. Said to call the above number. I did. I asked him to prove that this was the IRS. Gave me his name as James Brown, when he had a distinct Asian accent. I told him he sounded like a foreigner, and he said "[censored] you," and hung up.

I keep getting calls from the IRS saying I owe money and had better get my lawyer and not to raise my voice with them. They said they were going to come to my house and I told them just to come on.

Consumer received a recording message call saying that they were the IRS and that they would be filing a lawsuit against her.

Received a phone call stating that I owe money to the IRS and will be arrested.

They say we owe money to the IRS and threaten to sue us. They have called many times; the most recent time was at 6:37 a.m. on July 16, 2016.

- Alexandria, VA, USA

Caller claimed to be from the IRS and said that they were going to empty my bank accounts unless I paid them.

Caller was unable to provide any information that would lead me to believe that they actually had my bank information - they did not reference my SSN or bank name.

This was the second call from them.
