I got an email saying that my tech support would automatically renew unless I called this number. They had an invoice number, etc.

The email seems really legit. When opened it looks like a real invoice from Geek Squad, stating that a subscription has automatically been renewed for $399.99. Then when you look at the address that it is sent from, it is a personal Gmail (in my case) email address. This has been confirmed as a scam by the real Geek Squad, that will come up on caller ID as Best Buy or Geek Care. If you allow them to in-link to your computer they will install the CSRSS Trojan Virus, which will disable all of the computer's Microsoft drivers and allow the hackers/scammers to track everything you do, and sites you go to. I had to get the real Geek Squad's help in stopping this.

I was emailed a message from Geek Squad that they said they charged my account for $339.99. I have never used their services. The email was [email protected].

I knew that our company hadn't requested Geek Squad for service for quite awhile. After listening to radio station 720 this week, I was cautious & hesitant to call, but felt that I should find out how they got our bank account number as the email stated that they would be automatically withdrawing $389.99 that day. Our account number wasn't included in email. Speaking to who I thought was a rep of Geek Squad, he had difficulty speaking English & he wasn't able to answer my questions without hemming & hawing, & he finally told me I would need to contact Best Buy to get my questions answered, said he'd transfer me, but instead he hung up. I tried to copy the email & it wouldn't allow me to.

Email came from McIlvain as the person. Hovered over the name to come up with actual email address of [email protected]. Subject said "Hello Receipt." PDF attached which was not downloaded. Could see on the snapshot it was an 877 number and receipt was $299.99 for Geek Squad Services. Reported it to Gmail.

I received an email saying that I had purchased a recurring item for my computer. I have never purchased my own computer. The foreign individual then told me to log into my computer so he could help me cancel the $485 hold. He would not give me any information except that he was going to help me cancel and give me a password. You could hear another guy in the background talking to someone else saying the same thing. I checked my bank account and have no holds. He kept saying he could 'clear' my server for me. I hung up on him

We received an email that appeared to be from Geek Squad claiming to renew our computer protection coverage for five years. When I contacted Best Buy they stated it was not actually from them. We never called the phone number they provided.

He went on my computer to supposedly help me fix things by a scammer. He the sold me a Geek type contract.

This is the exact email I received - googling the phone led to knowing that there was a company with the same number reported on BBB:

Although your annual subscription was due today, don't worry—we have you covered it, thanks to the auto debit system that has been in place since the prior year.

We have reactivated and resumed the PC & Network services and it will be valid till 17 Aug 2023 unless you unsubscribe from our service plan.

The annual fee of $ 385.96 is being processed through your account funds credits , this charge will reflect on your statement within few hours.

Please be aware this subscription is set to renew annually , in any case you want to unsubscribe or cancel please do so within 2 business days.

If you would like to stop auto debit to avoid future charges or you wish to update payment preference - Please reach out support immediately.

I received an email from "David Garcia" saying that my "GEEKSQUAD Protection Plan has been renewed for fiscal year 2022-2023.

I called the number 808-444-7536 and I get a lot of confusing information. He logged on to my screen and wanted me to have him access my bank accounts. He repeated said that it was a "hidden transaction." VERY fishy.

I told him I think it is a scam to which he replied, "Did I sleep with you?'

This is a serious fraud and I am quite concerned. They said they charged me $399.00.

Please look into this.

I received a bill on my email, i called the number below and i realized ive never bought that service and Hung up on them.

Received an email stating I owed money for a premium plan geek squad subscription. It had my name on it with todays date. When I called the number and asked who it was they said geek squad. And that I was calling them so why was I asking. The guy was very rude. When I told him I was reporting him to the ScamPulse.com he just laughed at me.

i don't have many other details. I just received this email randomly. It appears to be a fake bill.

The email from the scammer ( [email protected]), is invalid.
