I received two email that appeared to be from Geek Squad. Presenting themselves as Geek Squad. One email came from [email protected] Todays email was about cancelling my protection plan. $167.29 Contact them to cancel the plan. I called the number in the email. 804-313-9372. They answered Geek Squad. They wanted me go through Google and onine.donline.info to submit the cancellation form. The form goes to them. They wanted me to put in my checking account number. They were headed to ask for my checking account number and routing number. I did not give anything out. I did give them the bank of my company. I asked for my contract ID number. They could not give it. The first time they contacted me by email it was from email [email protected]. The phone number on the first attempt was 804-742-0229. Google address they gave pccare123.0rg. This amount was $420. I was to contact them so they would not make a withdrawal. I do have a Geek Squad. The emails did not come from Geek Squad. I did not pay any money.

Scammer sent an email using the address previously noted, that was masked as my personal email address. When I called the number, the operator did not speak English but was clearly able to ask for my credit card number to cancel the auto renewal of Geek Squad support and "provide me with a credit". It was at this point that I realized this was a scam, as they would have already had my credit card number on file if the subscription had auto renewed. At this point I hung up and immediately received two call backs from South San Francisco, (650) 676-8620.

Received email from [email protected] indicating that my subscription expires tonight (10-03-23) at midnight, and would

auto renew for Quantity 2 of GS 2 Solution Kit for 1 year. No source of payment to use in 'auto renew' was cited.

I have no idea what this is about. I worried that calling the listed phone number would incur some high dollar charge.

I called the number offered and talked to a man who asked me to download a cancellation dialog form under <https:> in which I had to give my full name, address, phone number, and bank name. I also have to enter my date of birth.

I received an email stating I paid for a year subscription to a computer virus protection or repair service. It wants me to open a file that has the info, which I won't because its likely a virus attachment. These people use the name "Geek Squad" which impersonates a real company.

recieved email that 499.99 would be taken automatically for our subscription to Geek Squad with Best Buy - if i wanted to cancel it took me to a website and phone number where they asked me why and then wanted name , SS # and name of bank, they stressed they didnt want my account number , just the name of my bank and said my refund would show in my account so to get onto my online banking and see if it was there. I used a different computer and of course it wasnt, so he told me to call him back when i was at my home computer - name given was Mark Coleman and is ID # 17465 -phone number i was to call him back was 1-619-693-7304

I called the number listed at the bottom of an email I received from [email protected] stating my renewal for "Geeky Squad Software" would be charged today. The cost listed was $364.89 for two years. The lady I talked to just answered the phone with a simple hello and didn't identify any company name at all. When I asked what this was for, she said it was for my Geek Squad protection, which I don't have. I asked where she was located and she said Seattle. After I asked what state that was in, she had to ask someone in the background and then said Washington. I told her this offer was a scam and I was reporting it. I have reported it to the FTC as well.

Now they are sending me harassing texts. From clicking on the link they gained access to my computer and I could see them downloading my personal information. They said they are affiliated with BBB.

They received an email saying that they were going to charge my account for a continued subscription that I did not sign up for when I asked to cancel the subscription. He wanted me to log onto my computer and give him access and I refused as the email said that it was a dangerous site. He didn’t wanted me to access my cell phone and give him access to that and I refused when I refused he said that I will be charged.

I received an email from supposed Geek Squad saying they were renewing my Geek Squad threats protection and would be withdrawing $249.99 today. I called the Geek Squad at our local Best Buy and they said this was a scam. I tried to reply to the email, telling them to cancel my subscription. The email was not sent, since the address was invalid. There was a phone # that I did not call.

I called geek squad, they had to call me back. My fridge needed repair. He had me download an app to find my bestbuy account, i gave him access to my screen(i knew better) he said 112$ to fix the fridge i said i had a warranty. Then he said 43$ through cash app or venmo. I got an email today from findley Brown, he claimed he was a Geek Teck with the Geek Squad. The email said I just purchased a one year subscription for Best Buy/ Geek Squad technical support for $499.98. I did not make that purchase. SO I called the number on the email to cancel the order and the man who answered the phone told me I had to give him access to my computer to cancel the purchase. I did not let him do that.
