Received email from [email protected] indicating that my subscription expires tonight (10-03-23) at midnight, and would

auto renew for Quantity 2 of GS 2 Solution Kit for 1 year. No source of payment to use in 'auto renew' was cited.

I have no idea what this is about. I worried that calling the listed phone number would incur some high dollar charge.

Phone number given was 818-574-3590

- Lynnwood, WA, USA

$450.75

Geek Squad's Fraudulent attempt to collect for a presumed subscription. I called the number offered and talked to a man who asked me to download a cancellation dialog form under <https:> in which I had to give my full name, address, phone number, and bank name. I also have to enter my date of birth.

Here is the person who sent me the initial message. Kasandra Johnson <[email protected]></[email protected]></http...

I told him I was charged $399.00 for something I didn’t order

He was trying to refund that money to me and got in my computer

Has my back name and my personal information

I received an email stating I paid for a year subscription to a computer virus protection or repair service. It wants me to open a file that has the info, which I won't because its likely a virus attachment. These people use the name "Geek Squad" which impersonates a real company.

They received an email saying that they were going to charge my account for a continued subscription that I did not sign up for when I asked to cancel the subscription. He wanted me to log onto my computer and give him access and I refused as the email said that it was a dangerous site. He didn’t wanted me to access my cell phone and give him access to that and I refused when I refused he said that I will be charged.

I received an email stating I was going to receive a refund of $419.00 from the Geek Squad but I never used their services. I clicked the link and they called me. Now they are sending me harassing texts. From clicking on the link they gained access to my computer and I could see them downloading my personal information. They said they are affiliated with BBB.

I called the number listed at the bottom of an email I received from [email protected] stating my renewal for "Geeky Squad Software" would be charged today. The cost listed was $364.89 for two years. The lady I talked to just answered the phone with a simple hello and didn't identify any company name at all. When I asked what this was for, she said it was for my Geek Squad protection, which I don't have. I asked where she was located and she said Seattle. After I asked what state that was in, she had to ask someone in the background and then said Washington. I told her this offer was a scam and I was reporting it. I have reported it to the FTC as well.

I received an email from supposed Geek Squad saying they were renewing my Geek Squad threats protection and would be withdrawing $249.99 today. I called the Geek Squad at our local Best Buy and they said this was a scam. I tried to reply to the email, telling them to cancel my subscription. The email was not sent, since the address was invalid. There was a phone # that I did not call.

The Geek squad have been billing me every couple of months for several years and saying they already charged me but they don't have my cc numbers so they cannot charge me. no idea who they are. .They have been doing this for years with a new email every time because I block them. then I check all my cards and there is no charge from them because they don't have my card numbers and I have never ordered anything from them.

Tried to email me an invoice for Geek Squad and when I called they had a whole line of operation

I received an email saying they would be charging me (for something I did not order). See attached jpeg of the email. When I called the number, they were evasive and said I’d get an email in half an hour, canceling the “order.” I never received it.

Got an email that my Total Care subscription was being charged $399 for a 2 year subscription renewal. When I called I Was told to open www.anydesk.com. E refused and told them I would report them as hackers.

I called geek squad, they had to call me back. My fridge needed repair. He had me download an app to find my bestbuy account, i gave him access to my screen(i knew better) he said 112$ to fix the fridge i said i had a warranty. Then he said 43$ through cash app or venmo. I knew then it was a scam and hung up.

I got an email today from findley Brown, he claimed he was a Geek Teck with the Geek Squad. The email said I just purchased a one year subscription for Best Buy/ Geek Squad technical support for $499.98. I did not make that purchase. SO I called the number on the email to cancel the order and the man who answered the phone told me I had to give him access to my computer to cancel the purchase. I did not let him do that.

I received an email I believe is a scam. It came from Judy Simmons. Attached was an invoice with Geek Squad logo on it. Phone number 888-244-5603. The invoice details my email and an invoice number INV/862979145X1818G2. This is to automatically renew my Geek Squad Account. Charging $799.99 to renew. I have never had a Geek Squad account. I mistakenly called the phone number. I spoke with a man that was hard to understand. He had a heavy accent and was on a speaker phone. He went on and on. He said I had an account. After much back and forth I hung up. The email looked like it came from a person named Judy Simmons. I thought it was an organization I volunteer with. The mailing also stated we are honored to have you as our customer and appreciate your loyalty. Thank you for your support.

I received a text that appeared to be from Geek Squad. It came from 805-426-7493. I don't remember ever doing business with Geek Squad. I tried to call them but it hangs up. Somehow $419 was taken off my card I am not sure which one. I think it was a Green Dot card. I don't know what they are offering. It is not legitimate. I lost $419.
