I received an email stating I was going to receive a refund of $419.00 from the Geek Squad but I never used their services. I clicked the link and they called me. Now they are sending me harassing texts. From clicking on the link they gained access to my computer and I could see them downloading my personal information. They said they are affiliated with BBB.

I called the number listed at the bottom of an email I received from [email protected] stating my renewal for "Geeky Squad Software" would be charged today. The cost listed was $364.89 for two years. The lady I talked to just answered the phone with a simple hello and didn't identify any company name at all. When I asked what this was for, she said it was for my Geek Squad protection, which I don't have. I asked where she was located and she said Seattle. After I asked what state that was in, she had to ask someone in the background and then said Washington. I told her this offer was a scam and I was reporting it. I have reported it to the FTC as well.

I received an email from supposed Geek Squad saying they were renewing my Geek Squad threats protection and would be withdrawing $249.99 today. I called the Geek Squad at our local Best Buy and they said this was a scam. I tried to reply to the email, telling them to cancel my subscription. The email was not sent, since the address was invalid. There was a phone # that I did not call.

The Geek squad have been billing me every couple of months for several years and saying they already charged me but they don't have my cc numbers so they cannot charge me. no idea who they are. .They have been doing this for years with a new email every time because I block them. then I check all my cards and there is no charge from them because they don't have my card numbers and I have never ordered anything from them.

I got an email today from findley Brown, he claimed he was a Geek Teck with the Geek Squad. The email said I just purchased a one year subscription for Best Buy/ Geek Squad technical support for $499.98. I did not make that purchase. SO I called the number on the email to cancel the order and the man who answered the phone told me I had to give him access to my computer to cancel the purchase. I did not let him do that.

I received an email I believe is a scam. It came from Judy Simmons. Attached was an invoice with Geek Squad logo on it. Phone number 888-244-5603. The invoice details my email and an invoice number INV/862979145X1818G2. This is to automatically renew my Geek Squad Account. Charging $799.99 to renew. I have never had a Geek Squad account. I mistakenly called the phone number. I spoke with a man that was hard to understand. He had a heavy accent and was on a speaker phone. He went on and on. He said I had an account. After much back and forth I hung up. The email looked like it came from a person named Judy Simmons. I thought it was an organization I volunteer with. The mailing also stated we are honored to have you as our customer and appreciate your loyalty. Thank you for your support.

I received a text that appeared to be from Geek Squad. It came from 805-426-7493. I don't remember ever doing business with Geek Squad. I tried to call them but it hangs up. Somehow $419 was taken off my card I am not sure which one. I think it was a Green Dot card. I don't know what they are offering. It is not legitimate. I lost $419.

I got a email what looked like from Best Buy/Geek Squad. This email looked totally legit. And it said it was time to renew my service/protection plan for my laptop. So I called the number showing --which was 1-888-657-0269 the person's name on the email was Theresa Diaz, when I called them I told them I didn't want the protection plan anymore and just cancel it. and I also found this email address, [email protected] so I called the number then they had me fill out a form, in the mean time they had lock my computer so I couldn't do anything on it. They put a blue screen up and it said do not turn computer off it is updating. I could see them messing with my laptop. So they had me fill out a form with all my information and they said that we need this this information to refund your money back. they asked me for my account number and last 4 digits of my SS. Then they had me download 2 apps on my phone one was called Anydesk and the other Cash App. They had me fill out info on the Anydesk app. Then they made my screen on my laptop black and had me to fill out some info. And had me to put in the amout $$ I was getting. So I did that and they made the amout higher by adding another zero. When I was finally able to get into my bank account money from my savings and checking was gone $1,500 Before that they had me and they were adamant that I go get 3 $500 American Express gift cards and 4 $50 Apple gift cards. Like I said they were very very adamant that I do this. Buy this time I was so angry. Everytime I tried to go into my bank they would close my screen and make it blue and wasn't able to do anything. I got a couple emails from my bank stating that / confirming that I added or change my contact info for a Jerrica Buford which I never heard of the person. I was on the phone with this person for 6 hours. This is the jist of it. Another thing, they put up a white screen. similar to chat/text box and told me to answer my phone. I did report this to my local police which would be MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT. This is another email that I had located its [email protected]

The scammer posed as the Geek Squad, they told me I was being charged $470 plus some change to renew Geek Squad. I called the number on that page to tell them not to renew that.... they said they were going to pay be back $400. And they tried to get into my account. I hung up and also closed my computer down and called my bank to stop any transactions.

Sent invoice # 8745722 for renewal but I do not have a plan with the company. Called to cancel and rep wanted me to type QUICK in the search engine so he could post refund. When I refused, he said that was the only way to get it. I told him I would report to ScamPulse.com and local police. He asked me not to and just do what he says and everything would be refunded. I told him I did not trust him and hung up.

The Email from Best Buy said a payment of 199.99 was going to be due in TotalTech department from the Intuit E Commerce Service.

The phone number 1-888-397-6038 was called the person said I could cancel the payment I didn't request and have the money moved to a bank account. While faking the transfer of $60.00 an extra amount of $6000.00 was looked to have been inserted into the bank account. It appeared to be in my account .so I mistakenly went to my bank took out the $6000.00 and got the instruction by the person to send it to him I made that awful mistake at a Bitcoin ATM. I was later told buy the Best Buy that they were used like this and it was a scam .

I received an invoice via email yesterday that charged $349.99 for "Geek security services". I did not order this service. The invoice stated that I have 24 hours to cancel the subscription. The number provided yesterday was 888.973.6992. I called. They wanted me to download an ap "anydesk.com" in order to cancel the subscription. I said I would not. The first person said he would charge me. I called again - same thing except that when I said I would not download anything he hung up. Today I received another invoice but this one used the customer service number 229.354.9997 to cancel the subscription.
