its a fake passport application website, i think. My bank blocked the payment but it did ask for passport information and ss # and card numbers to pay for the service.

I intended to renew my passport online. The site was misleading. I thought I was renewing my passport entering lots of personal information including SSN and passport number. After paying $88.83, they gave me a packet to download and instructions on how to apply for your passport. This is a scam. Leads you to believe you are actually applying directly to renew your passport but they are just collecting your personal information!

On March 30, 2025 I did a simple Google search to renew my passport. The website US Passport and Visa came up and I thought it was a legitimate website to renew my passport. Only to find out after I paid $88.83 that it was a glorified PDF editor and a SCAM. They now have my personal information and credit card information.

Did a google search to renew my passport and thought I was on the legitimate website, totally missed all the scam signs. I accepted the message at the bottom saying I understood this was a third party app and in no way related to the government. I questioned but still filled out all the information on my ex-husband and my parents also.

Have a better way to renew your passport. I was stupid but who reads everything. You guys need to do a better job at pointing this out. I'm sure this has gone on forever.
