Cell phone call from (541-708-5084) stating that I had avoided prosecution by the US Treasury department and am subject to arrest if I do not call the number back.

- Corona, CA, USA

A man who identified himself as Officer John Wang with the Internal Revenue Service badge #IRM0101 called me from 425-341-0537 and told me I was being sued by the IRS for tax evasion and that I owed them $7,986.00. I replied with "I have a professional do my taxes and that I would be contacting them directly". I also stated that I'm sure if there was a problem they would be sending me something in writing. The one thing that bother's me is that he knew my name. I also told him that his parents must be so proud before hanging up on him. (I send this to you in hopes that I can stop these scams on elderly people who are willing to take care of this over the phone with a credit card to avoid further so called penalties, etc.)

We keep receiving phone calls from people claiming to be IRS Reps. stating that if we had filed taxes that we maybe involved in a law suit regarding the tax claim. They are specifically targeting the Elderly. The numbers that call are from a cell phone or landlines. 202-351-9650 & 209-441-9002

yesterday on 4-19-16 I received a voicemail that "This is an official final notice call from the IRS notifying you that a lawsuit has been filed against you. Call Internal Revenue Services at 209-200-4638."

I did not respond.

I received a recorded voicemail stating that I was receiving a final notice from the IRS about being sued. I have verified independently with the IRS that this is not the case. I called the number back and told them that I was reporting them to the ScamPulse.com as a phishing scam, and got hung up on. The telephone number this scam originated from is 202-341-1764, showing Washington, DC as the location.

Recorded message claimed to be from the IRS and I needed to call 551-236-6054 to clear-up the issue or it would be turned over to the Grand Jury or Magistrate court for legal action. I ignored the call, but wanted to report it.

I got a threatening phone call from the IRS that my 2013 taxes are behind and I owe $5,000. They said if I don't pay, they'll be coming to my house. 224-592-0127

- Wauna, WA, USA

They called saying she was Niki Johnson of the IRS and it was urgent that I call them back before they take any action against me. And then left number to call her back 209-440-3001. And while I was filling this report out another call came in saying he was from the IRS scam dept. with this number 202-792-8931. I never called them back so they did not get any info or money from me.

I received a phone call informing me that a warrant was out for my arrest. That I needed to pay in full. There was an issue in the amount paid to me from 2013 and my taxes get audited every 5 years. It was very alarming until I started doing research. The number is 844-248-6951. They had an Indian accent and seemed to be in a call center environment representing the IRS from DC.

Automated call said Brianna Scott from IRS needed me to call about legal notice filed against me for past due taxes. Should call asap as I could be arrested.

I am at my grandmother's residence and an automated call came through on her home phone from 214-838-9668 stating that the IRS has filed a lawsuit and to call the number above to speak to someone regarding the matter. When I called a man answered the phone advising that I have reached the IRS and provided his title and name as Officer Winston Chapel. I explained to him that I had just received an automated message and he asked if I would verify my grandma's name, dob, and last four of her ss#. I did, and he proceeded to advise that there has been a dispute regarding tax returns between 2006 - 2009 and the IRS has made 2 attempts to deliver certified letters to my grandmothers residence in Sept and Dec 2015 and this is their final attempt to resolve this matter. He asked if we'd be willing to pay the amount owed of $5000.00 today or he could offer a payment plan with a minimum deposit today of $2,300 and $100 monthly payment. He advised that if we are unable to agree to a payment today that an arrest warrent will be issued and the local authorities will come to the house today to arrest my grandmother. He provided me with his badge # and a supposed case #. I advised him that we would need time to have our lawyer look into these allegations and he advised that we had to make a decision right now of whether we will set up the payment plan otherwise the local authorities will be notified and an arrest will be made today. I advised him that we wanted to look into these allegations to ensure that this isnt a scam because I don't these allegations are valid nor is this process legal. He advised that it's not a scam, but, if I think so and do not resolve the matter with him we will be paying the consequence of imprisonment. I said ok and hung up.

I called the Virginia Beach Police Department to speak with an officer about this call and was informed that this was definitely a scam call to distort money. I was advised to add a scam report on the the BBB. I believe these folks are targeting the elderly and I'm not at all sure of how they are getting their listings. Please be aware and spread thr word about this scam. Thank you.

My father received a phone call today, 4/15/16. He did not answer the phone but they left a message stating they are the IRS and he needs to call immediately to resolve an issue. He did not call them. The phone number they left for him to call was: 316-250-2403. He is elderly and thankfully he did not speak to them.

IRS called and left a phone number 347-560-5662 on my answering machine. They said it was a final notice for back taxes. And filing a lawsuit against us. I called back and an agent asked for my phone number. She then gave me an IRM #201223. I told her I didn't owe any taxes and then we were cut off. I tried to call back, and now I can't get through to that number.

April 14, 2016 approximately 8:30 AM, we received a recorded message telling us that the IRS was trying to get in touch with us & for us to return call to 207-229-8990.
