Called the number 3 different times, got 3 different people and all hung up as soon as I asked for their full name and badge number. I knew it was a scam but wanted to see what would happen when I requested the information.

Got a call from "IRS" saying I owed money and it was going to federal collections. When I called the number back a man with an Indian accent answered saying he was "IRS". I could tell it was a scam and when I said that he hung up. I called back and he answered as "IRS" again when I said it was a scam he spoke in his native language and hung up. The number is (360)746-2558.

I have hung up on him after telling him that I am reporting this scam. The phone number he is calling from is 844-868-4193. I have given no personnel information to him. I hung up before he could ask for money or bank information.

I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL AT APPX. 11:45 AM ON MONDAY, 04/25/16 , ANSWERED ON 1ST RING, AND IT WAS A FEMALE RECORDED VOICE STATING " THIS IS THE IRS AND OUR LAST ATTEMPT TO CONTACT YOU, IRS IS PREPARING A LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU SO CALL OUR IRS RIGHT AWAY AT blah-blah-9295." SINCE I ANSWERED THE FIRST RING I COULDN'T SEE A CALLER ID NAME AND THE RECORDING SPOKE SO FAST I COULD ONLY WRITE DOWN/REMEMBER THE LAST NUMBERS, 9295 OF THE IRS NUMBER THEY REQUESTED ME TO CALL. i CALLED CHANNEL 3 NEWS AND THEY ADVISED ME TO CALL THE ScamPulse.com SO I DID. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW IT IS A SCAM AND NOT TO CALL THE NUMBER BACK IF THEY CALL AGAIN.

The "IRS" left a message saying that the Internal Revenue Service has filed a lawsuit against me, and that I had to call them back at 774-479-2155. Out of curiosity, because I was fairly certain that the real IRS doesn't contact people by phone, I returned the call. The man wanted my name. Before I gave him that, I asked him to verify who he was. He asked for my name again. I asked him to confirm that he was from the IRS, as in "the Internal Revenue Service branch of the US govt. Again, he said yes, and asked for my name. I asked him again to confirm his identity, telling him that I was fairly certain that my IRS wouldn't call about something like this. He hung up.

The person on the phone was difficult to understand. They sounded like someone from another country. The call stated(from what I could understand) that I was being investigated for Tax Fraud. The only other thing that I could understand from him was that I needed to find a good tax lawyer. He also mentioned that my CPA (Which I don't have) was under investigation. I told him that I believed that he was not truly from the IRS since he was calling and he proceeded to say something would happen once he hung up the phone, them I heard the phone click.

I know the IRS doesn't call people, so I know this is a scam.
