This “company” just tried to scam a verified victim of device compromise and identity theft by claiming they were acting on behalf of Verizon requesting 3.2k. The letter was from McCarthy Burgess & Wolff. No information regarding anything else on the Verizon claim. To top it off these clowns requested a check payable to “Verizon wireless.” Trying to upload the picture of the letter but of course it shows “error” each time. Did I mention I am a victim of device compromise? What a bunch of effin [censored].

I have been getting calls on my work number from a debt collection company McCarthy Burgess & Wolff. The only debt I have is my student loans, and I am on good terms with my loan companies and am not behind on any payments. They call on my work line several times a day. I do not know where/how they received that number. They do not leave a message, but have tried calling on several of my colleague's lines as well.
