Ordered a $14.99 lick bowl for my dog and was unknowingly subscribed to a monthly subscription of $39.99.

Ordered a dog toy from PupaPaws.com. Started getting charged $39.99 every month. Site no longer exists.

- Virginia Beach, VA, USA • Jun 23, 2026

You order these lick bowls for your dog. They loop you into a subscription you don’t approve and charge your card 39.99 every month. If you go to their website it’s gone. There is no option to cancel your subscription, because there is no website.

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA • Jun 20, 2026

Ad targeted for an interactive dog toy treat bowl. Initial price $29.99, then subsequently charged $39.99 for 2 following months. Bowls received were cheap and terrible, not of good quality or made well at all. Avoid them at all costs! They sign you up for a monthly subscription where they continually get paid and you get nothing.

I ordered a product from this company and did not sign up for any membership however they are charging a recurring monthly fee of $39.99. The website is no longer functioning and my attempts to reach someone via email goes unanswered.

- Lake Mary, FL, USA • Jun 12, 2026

I ordered dog bowls and was charged 39.99. I received the bowls and then a month later, 39.99 was again billed to my credit card. I sent them an email requesting a refund and received no response. Today, I was once again charged 39.99 on my account. I sent them an email and also contacted my credit card company.

Bought a product off social media with pupapaws.com and they are charging a monthly fee of $40.00

- Birmingham, AL, USA • May 28, 2026

I ordered a dog toy (a special bowl with a ball that they lick to slowly receive a liquid treat). I paid for it and received it. It wasn’t the quality I was expecting, but it was fine for the price I paid. Then, about a week later, I had a charge for $39.99 pending and then go through on my card for “pupapaws.com”. When I attempt to go to the website, it no longer exists/I cannot access it. I did NOT sign up for any type of subscription service and should not have been charged beyond the original cost of the toy.

Ordered a dog toy from pupapaws.com for $29.98 and received those. Then I noticed I was getting a recurring charge for $39.99 each month for a Curea Club Membership that I did not subscribe to from curea.shop. The website pupapaws.com no longer exists.

- Santa Cruz, CA, USA • May 18, 2026

This website: https://pupapaws.com/ if you buy one of their products, they automatically enroll you in a "membership" without your knowledge. You pay for the product, but then after a couple weeks another charge $39.99 appears on your card statement from them. You have to request that your "membership" be cancelled, but they state that they can't refund the $39.99.

I purchased the dog lick toy for $14.99 and 2 weeks later got a $39.99 charge for a "subscription" I did not apply for nor agree to. Apparently, this is a "hidden" scam.

- Salt Lake City, UT, USA • Apr 20, 2026

I ordered a dog toy and did receive it, but the next day I had an unauthorized charge for $39.99 from “CUREA.SHOP Homer Glen IL” on my credit card. I looked this up and saw multiple ScamPulse.com reports indicating that the vendor signed them up for a subscription service without their knowledge. I went back to the site I purchased through and saw they had signed me up for a monthly subscription service called Pupa Paws+ without my knowledge or consent and with no services rendered. I have no idea what this subscription was for. There was no indication that I’d signed up for this subscription at the time of purchase.

Bought a dog bowl and was then charged an additional $39.99 a couple weeks later. Had to cancel my card.

- Dacula, GA, USA • Apr 19, 2026

Ordered a pupapaws product, which was received. That was followed by a $39.99 deduction from my checking account through my debit card. Attempts to contact their support line go nowhere.

- Denver, CO, USA • Apr 18, 2026

This company enrolls you in a monthly subscription without disclosing. It is automatic after you make a purchase. No email confirmation, nothing.

- Levittown, NY, USA • Apr 17, 2026

I found the company on Facebook and purchased a $14.99 dog bowl. Then, today I noticed a charge from “CUREA.SHOP HOMER GLEN USA” for a monthly membership I never agreed to and does not even give you anything for the membership. When I try to send an email back, I only get an error message.

- Chino, CA, USA • Apr 17, 2026

Deceptive website. I bought a $15 product, then after 2 weeks they automatically charged me for a premium subscription for $39.99. The product I ordered arrived after 3 weeks. I never subscribed to anything. No info during checkout about subscription or anything. I requested a refund but they denied. Searching Reddit, a lot of people are complaining about the same experience.

- Denver, CO, USA • Apr 16, 2026

I ordered a dog toy and received it. Then I saw an additional charge show up about a week later for $39.99. My credit card company said it was a "wallet" payment. In seeing others reported here, for the exact same thing, it looks like after you make a purchase they sign you up for some sort of subscription. I have received nothing additional in the mail. On their website it says "order processing".

- Mokena, IL, USA • Apr 09, 2026

I bought a legit item from PupaPaws.com paying with "Shop" for $19.95. Less than 2 weeks later there was a charge from them for $39.99. When I contacted them at [email protected] they said this was for a membership I had agreed to when I made the purchase. I do not recall seeing anything like this, or else I wouldn't have purchased, or I would have canceled the membership before. They would not refund the $40. This is the 2nd pet company I have purchased from that advertised on social media that has done this (the other was Paw Champs for a $96 membership). Beware of purchasing from these companies and/or make sure you check deeply if there is a future membership fee.

- Chicago, IL, USA • Apr 08, 2026

Purchased dog bowls from Pupapaws.com and received an additional charge of 39.99 and then a refund of 39.99.
