I received a call to my cell phone at today, Feb 3rd, 2017. Its the phone scam going around where they ask you 'can you hear me?' ...... and it was just a knee-jerk reaction where I answered ...yah...... didn't say "yes", but hesitantly said yah ..... then realized what I had done and I hung up! Can this be tracked/stopped?

I was called by an employee and told that they had a refund for me. I finally got tired of being harassed so I gave in a ok them to give me my refund but instead they took 125 dollars out of my account then proceed to call me and taught me about it I really wish I had access to the ppl who did this but for now if u could flag them or at least inform others so they don't get caught in the same trap.

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA

The number above called me, said it was, "Dan from Customer Service, Can you Hear me? " When I replied with a dragged out, "yeah, " it proceeded to tell me that I have the opportunits to go on a vacation to Disney/Orlando.

Concerned that they will attempt to use voice response to access other information /accounts. Recently occurred; and, nothing attempted as of yet.

Recieved call from number listed above and when I answered, the robotic voice said- Hi, this is Josh from customer service. Can you hear me okay? I had just heard about this scam on the evening news so knew to hang up and not say anything.

Man's voice, "Hello, this is customer service. Can you hear me ok?"

I did not respond and just hung up the phone

Received call a few days ago in the morning, caller said they were from Customer Service (did not give company name) and I asked if I could hear him. I said yes, then he told me I am the lucky recipient of a package to Disneyworld and he just needed some info from me. I asked him to state the company name, and he said, "Ok great, I show you are at least 28 years of age, is that correct?" At that point I hung up. Sorry I don't have the number still but I just saw an article about this scam on Wood-tv and wanted to report it.

An automated system called and said "Hello this is (name) from customer service can you hear me?" I said yes and there was a pause then it started talking about my car warranty and asked if I wanted to continue. Which by the way I said no and the call was disconnected.

- Florissant, MO, USA

I answered the call form the number above and a male, what sounded like, recorded voice said, "Hi, this is Josh from Customer Service, can you hear me all right?" I hung up immediately because I read about the scam where the caller will ask you a question to try to get you to say "yes", so they can record your voice to use it for fraudulent transactions.

- Las Vegas, NV, USA

Asked if "I could hear them ok" to record my "yes" response.

- Greenbrier, AR, USA

- Douglas, OK, USA

On 1/27/2017 I got a call from 580 823 8291. They were supposedly from a job employment website but I cant remember the site. The call started with "can you hear me now" and I said yes. Now I am afraid they will record me saying yes and steal from me with that. They asked if I was interested in going to school but didn't say where. I said yes to that also I think. I said I had student loans and they hung up on me.
