Fraudulent invoice from Relay Wire for fax infrastructure

Our organization received an unsolicited, fraudulent invoice from an entity operating under the name "Relay Wire," listing their address as 9535 Forest Lane, Suite 114J, Dallas, TX 75243.

The document mimics a legitimate corporate bill, charging a standard amount of $389.00 for a service described as "Professional Fax Infrastructure." It claims to cover a one-year service period for "continuous searchable archive retention, verified delivery proof generation, and real-time operational routing" tied to a specific organizational fax line.

This is a deceptive B2B (business-to-business) invoice solicitation scam. Our accounts payable department never authorized, contracted, or received any services from "Relay Wire."

Businesses should be highly alert to any unsolicited bills from "Relay Wire" or 9535 Forest Lane, Suite 114J, and instruct their accounting teams to deny payment immediately.

They send a fake invoice for fax services about our fax line. It came in via fax, saying there was an amount due of $389.00 for our fax line. We receive our fax services elsewhere so it clearly was a scam.

Fake fax bill for fax service from Relay Wire

We received a fax naming our business and proper business address saying we were being billed for our fax service for the upcoming year from a company called Relay Wire. We don't have a "fax service" but rather have an internet provider and a telecom software provider which is billed separately by each provider. Both are large companies not farming out their services so we knew immediately the bill was fraudulent and told our secretary not to pay it. I am certain they were hoping unsuspecting office personnel would just see it and pay it. We did an internet search to insure we were correct and sure enough we found that it was a scam. Be aware.

Fax from Relay Wire requesting payment for fax line services

We received a fax from Relay Wire saying that we would need to pay xx amount to keep services running for our fax line. The remittance instructions say to make checks payable to "Relay Wire", reference the fax number on the check memo line, and to inquire all billing to their email.
