Fake fax invoice from Relay Wire for annual renewal

Scammer sent an invoice via fax for a fax line stating we owed $498.85 for an annual renewal of our fax. It looks like an invoice with an invoice #, invoice date, Payment terms, contract ref, due date, and account number. It goes on to say that this is an annual service renewal - year 3 with our fax #, qty, rate and amount. The states included services. At the bottom is a Payment Stub that is to be detached and returned to Relay Wire.

Deceptive fake invoice solicitation scam targeting businesses via fax. Received a fraudulent fax invoice demanding $498.85 for "Annual Service Renewal - Year 3" for our business fax number 419-882-8847. Invoice details are: Invoice #311585NH, Account #RWHC402397, dated September 25, 2026. The invoice names "Stephanie Wray" as an executive and lists payment options via check mailed to Relay Wire, 9535 Forest Lane, Suite 114J, Dallas, TX 75243 or via ACH/wire via [email protected]. This is a complete scam; our facility has no account, subscription, or history with this provider.

My business received an invoice through fax from Relay Wire. The invoice says it "is a routine annual renewal invoice for your existing fax infrastructure service". It says this is year 3 of the renewal and included services are fax number routing, web portal access, searchable transmission records, encrypted transmissions, service availability monitoring, standard support, and date export functionality. It lists the Account Executive as Stephanie Wray and says you can contact [email protected] for ACH payments or send a check to the Dallas address.
