Received fake fax invoice demanding annual payment
Fake fax invoice requesting $498.85 payment
Fake fax invoice from Relay Wire demanding $498.85
The invoice was billed as a "routine annual renewal" for Year 3 of "fax infrastructure service" on our existing business fax line. Amount demanded: $498.85. It listed services we never ordered, including web portal access, searchable transmission records, encrypted transmission, monitoring, support, and data export.
We never contracted with Relay Wire and do not receive any service from them. The invoice asks that checks be made payable to Relay Wire and mailed to the Dallas address, or that we email [email protected] for wire or ACH instructions. It named Stephanie Wray as account executive at [email protected]. Website: relaywire.app.
We did not pay. This is a fake invoice / supplier-bill scam targeting businesses through their published fax numbers.
