Fraudulent invoice from Relay Wire for fax services

Our organization received an unsolicited, fraudulent invoice from an entity operating under the name "Relay Wire," listing their address as 9535 Forest Lane, Suite 114J, Dallas, TX 75243. The document mimics a legitimate corporate bill, charging a standard amount of $389.00 for a service described as "Professional Fax Infrastructure." It claims to cover a one-year service period for "continuous searchable archive retention, verified delivery proof generation, and real-time operational routing" tied to a specific organizational fax line. This is a deceptive B2B (business-to-business) invoice solicitation scam. Our accounts payable department never authorized, contracted, or received any services from "Relay Wire." Businesses should be highly alert to any unsolicited bills from "Relay Wire" or 9535 Forest Lane, Suite 114J, and instruct their accounting teams to deny payment immediately.

Relay Wire sent a fax billing $389.00 for "Professional Fax Infrastructure Service" for one year. This "ensures continuous searchable archive retention, verified delivery proof generation, and real-time operational routing for fax line xxx-xxx-xxxx." It's complete baloney. They clearly have our correct fax number since they faxed the "invoice," however I have never heard of them and have no previous dealings with these scammers.

Fake fax demands payment for nonexistent fax line

We received a fax from Relay Wire saying that we would need to pay xx amount to keep services running for our fax line. The remittance instructions say to make checks payable to "Relay Wire", reference the fax number on the check memo line, and to inquire all billing to their email. We do not have a fax number. The telling clue is that the fax number they used was another local business who forwarded it to us.

Received a fax transmission on our business fax line with a fake invoice from Relay Wire supposedly billing our company for "Professional Fax Infrastructure Service" for a one-year period 07/01/2026 to 06/30/2027 in the amount of $389.00. Fake invoice required a check be sent to a remittance address in Dallas, TX with our business fax number on the memo line of the check. Billing inquiries could be directed to "[email protected]". Searched Google for the company and confirmed it was a complete scam. Google recommended reporting the scam to the ScamPulse.com and provided a link to the ScamPulse.com website.
