Phone rang at work, Caller ID said Fort Worth, TX.

Person on other end said they were calling from "customer service", and then asked if I could "hear them ok?". I said yes without thinking, and as I was hanging up the phone, I could hear the person (or recording) saying that I was selected for a Disney vacation.

Received a call from a man saying he was with customer service then asked can you hear me. Expecting a call about a dishwasher we had ordered, I said yes. He then went into a spiel about a trip I have won. I could tell it was pre-recorded and I hung up. I knew there was a recent scam about callers asking if we can hear them & getting people to say yes. I said yes before I had a chance to think. It caught me off guard because it was a local area code.

The man identified himself as "Jason with customer service" and then asked "Can you hear me alright?" When I said "yes", he continued talking about a vacation giveaway. I realized it was just a recording and hung up. Then I remembered hearing about a phone scam in which the person saying "yes" is being recorded and then has charges made in his/ her name.

I was expecting a phone call from my new wireless carrier so I answered the call. The cheerful young woman said she was with Customer Service (didn't name the company) and asked if I could hear her ok. I said "Yes I can." I've heard about this scam, but was caught off guard. I hung up immediately after I said it and knew what I had done.

So I heard about this scam going around, and I have just been the victim of it before I even realized what was happening. this number called me and said "this is Josh from the Customer Service". "Can you hear me okay". I have had problems with a lot of stuff lately and have contacted a customer service so I thought the call was important. so I foolishly said "yes, I can hear you okay." the number was 704-817-3753

I'm not sure what they wanted from me. I hung up as soon as I realized it. I don't know if I lost money. I definitely didn't give them any information.

The call was an automated message that identified itself as being from "customer service" from an unidentified company. They followed up by asking "can you hear me ok?". Man who introduced himself as Josh from customer service (which I thought was a call from my auto body shop) asked, "Can you hear me okay?". I wasn't thinking about the current phone scam to get "yes" answers because I thought I was talking to auto shop so I answered, "Yes." Josh proceeded to tell me about a vacation package I won and I immediately hung up the phone. Unfortunately, after I said the doomed "yes." I have to answer report below that I "did not lose money" - but obviously only time will tell since the phone call happened 4 minutes ago.

I was distracted, not paying attention, and I responded, "yes." There was a pause & then he said, "Great! You've been preselected for..." At that point I realized that it was likely that scam I'd heard about, and I hung up the phone.
