Amazon Reports & Reviews – Page 46 (950)

- Hobart, IN, USA

I have received multiple calls from a variety of phone numbers that look local. When I pick up, it’s an automated message stating Amazon.com is looking to hire 23 people. The message then instructs to visit their website at www.internetcareer.org to fill out an application promptly as the jobs will fill up quickly. I typically never answered and would block the numbers, but they call back using other numbers and then they began to text me the same instructions. So, I decided to let it go to voicemail and collect all the necessary info to report this. After trying to look them up online I did find that they want you to apply by paying a couple hundred dollars into this first by purchasing a kit. They say things like, “If you’re lucky enough to be chosen to receive a kit” to really make it seem time sensitive. Major scam!

- Amarillo, TX, USA

I recieved a voicemail from someone named Sara claiming she was a recruiter and had found my resume online and wanted to offer me a job position testing and reviewing products from amazon. She claimed to be hiring 23 new people this month. They would be paying $17-$32 per hr for these positions. All i had to do was go to stockretail.org and fill out a form to get started. I dont remember the price of the starter kit i was suppose to purchase. I think it was like $200. Red flags started going off in my head thats when i knew things just didnt seem right. So luckily for me they didnt get any money out of me and the number they keep calling me from has been blocked from my phone.

- Chicago, IL, USA

On August 14, 2018, I received a call to my mobile phone from a New York number, 516-521-7379.

When I answered the phone and began hearing an Amazon pitch for employment, I just hung up.

Immediately afterwards, I received a text message from the same number asking, "Is this Maggie?"

I didn't respond.

Today I saw the Amazon Hiring Scam notice on NBC5 Chicago News, so I thought it best to report the number.

The company called and saw my resume on line and was calling about an on line job opportunity with Amazon listing products and posting reviews for $17-$32 an hour. Only hiring 23 people this month.

They had left a voicemail bc I didn't answer the phone bc I didn't recognize the number.

The number was (707) 475-3307

- Springfield, TN, USA

Got a voicemail saying they saw my resume and thought I'd be interested in a job at Amazon work from home for $13-$32 an hour and to go to stockretail.org for further info. Thought it too good to be true but still looked up anyway only to find that the it was a scam so I am reporting it.

Got my resumé online. Hiring 23 people from 17-23 dollars per hour. Phone never rang, not listed in my missed calls, but got a voicemail and with visual voicemail, I got the supposed number

- Booneville, MS, USA

They just keep calling & leaving voicemails wanting me to give them my information and for a fee I can make thousands a month writing reviews for amazon. This is a scam. I googled it to see and I never give out my info to anyone. Be careful! And always be aware of anything that just pops in your lap. Any job I’ve ever had I had to get out with a resume & go door to door looking for one. If it sounds too easy it is!

I don’t know how to forward you a copy of the voicemail. I have forwarded them to people in my contacts but I don’t know how to attach it to a website. If you need this info & can send me some instructions I’ll be happy to send it to you.

- Daytona Beach, FL, USA

As I clicked on the link, my phone notified me that someone tried to access my email account.

- Cedar Park, TX, USA

Autobot named Sarah said they got my resume online and thought I’d be interested in working for Amazon testing and reviewing products. Paying $12-$32 per hr. And apply at stockretail.org

- Terry, MS, USA

Voice recording of employment opportunity with Amazon. After seeing my resume online they wanted me to go to stockretail.org and apply for a position of posting products and writing reviews. The pay was $17-$32 an hour and they were only hiring 23 people today. I checked the site and then the ScamPulse.com and found a previous report regarding the same information.

- Stockton, CA, USA

Person named Sarah called to say that She had gotten my Resume on-line and thought I'd be interested in working for Amazon. Shared several positions and quoted a salary from $13 to &32 per hr. Said to apply via stock retail.org as they were only hiring 23 persons.

There was a message saying that there was an at home employment with Amazon.

I went to a website that redirected me to a website where I can spin for a “free amazon gift”

- Cheyenne, WY, USA

I had a message on my home phone which stated that I needed to confirm an Amazon purchase that was charged in my name using my billing information and I needed to call back right away if I didn't make the purchase. They didn't state what the purchase was. So I returned the call to 877-870-8144 and was told the purchase was a gift card. I advised them that I have never purchased gift cards from Amazon and he then proceeded to tell me to log on to my computer so that I could give him information to cancel this fraudulent purchase, etc. I got the feeling that something just wasn't right and told him so and advised him that I was going to call Amazon directly and I did. The Amazon representative said there was no gift card purchase on my account and that the call was indeed fraudulent.

A guy named *** *** called and left a voicemail stating that I submitted an application (which I didn't) for a work-from-home opportunity with Amazon. He then asks me to complete my application so that I can earn $3000-$6000/month using my computer with Amazon. He states that the website to finish my application is amazondatajobs.org.

Why do I need to complete an application for something I already submitted? For an at-home position?

They tried it.

Needless to say I DID NOT go input any information into this website. I immediately googled the "opportunity" and quickly realized they'd been doing this for a couple of months, by somehow spoofing numbers. *** *** apparently has many phone numbers.

after submitting my application I got a call and message from an Ohio number telling me to complete an application at Amazon Data Jobs dot com. visited the site on my work computer but it redirects to another site.

search of the phone number and saw several complaints in the last two weeks about this number and the same job offer to work from home for 6K per month.

- Elmore, AL, USA

Phone didn't ring and had a voicemail telling me to finish my application for amazon work from home job. I never did any such application, so didn't even go to the site.

A guy named Max called my husband's phone, which never rang, and left a voicemail. The voicemail said, "hi Max here calling about the application you submitted for the work from home opportunity with Amazon. Please complete your application and learn how you can earn up to $3,000-$6,000 per month using your computer with Amazon. The website to finish your application is amazondatajobs.org". The thing is, my husband never filled out any applications to work from home.

Person texted us saying they were Amazon and that fraud had been detected on our amazon account. we called back and gave our debit card number because "Amazon" said they needed it to fix the situation. Instead the person stole $2400 from us. They answered the phone as amazon and even sent us emails with Amazon's logo.
