Stated that amazon had taken 399.00 dollars out of my account for a apple device and do I want it to go through.the wanted me to get on my laptop so they could send me some information, when I said I was going to contact the bank they said they were the only ones that could help me

Received phone call on 10/28/2019 automated message said my credit card at Amazon had been billed $99.90 this date for a purchase, and asked that I press a certain number to verify. Just hung up and called Amazon Customer Service and the lady told me it was a scam, Amazon will never call but will use e-mail.

I received an email that seemed to be an Amazon.com message saying an order had been shipped. I made no such order and it was supposedly shipped to someone in another state that I didn’t know. A phone # was included to call if I didn’t agree with the message. I called the number and the person on the other end claimed to be an Amazon tech who could check into this. They wanted gift cards to do this. They said The charged for the gift cards for this service would be refunded. I purchased a few of these gift cards and submitted them, bet each time they wanted me to buy more of them. I don’t know if they plan to refund it or not. I have since checked my Amazon account and found no item had been purchased for the person in question per the email I had received that triggered this.

Asked if I bought an I phone on Amazon. Press 2 if did not. Immediately got a foreign person who said purchase was made in Indiana. But would credit my account for the total. Verified name and address. I asked which account they were going to credit. She tried to put me off by saying financial manager would handle it. I asked again and she hung up. Guess I called her bluff.

I received an email from [email protected] saying I had purchased TV from Amazon and a protection service agreement which was billed to Visa. I called 855-736-0092 and was told in order to cancel the purchase I needed to buy a security card from Dollar General for $500. I told her I couldn't do that. She said all my cards, bank account, etc would be wiped out. I hung up. I had not purchased a TV from Amazon. I called Chase and canceled my card then removed it from Amazon. Hoping I hear nothing from them again. The order totaled $6,102.69.

Advise me if I should do any thing else.

received email to call phone number in order donate for kitchen supplies to needs people.

My elderly aunt received a phone call from an automated service claiming to be Amazon. It said that her package, totaling $70, was waiting to be sent but her payment/info needed to be verified before it could be shipped, and gave her a number to call.

If a person calls you from telephone number 312-796-0319 and says their from the Amazon Customer Fraudulent Department stating that their has been a charge on your Amazon account with your Visa credit card, DO NOT give them any information. It is not legitimate! I just called Amazon, they checked the number and it does NOT belong to Amazon.

caller stated I owe 299.00 dollars and that an agent is standing by. please call the 800 number

They stated that I used my card for 77.99 to purchase an item. If I wanted them to ship the item I would just hang up my telephone and if I had questions, I could return their call at 206.462.4183.

I got an text message asking me to complete a survey based on a recent amazon experience. All I had to do was pay for the shipping. I did find something I wanted and used my credit card. I called and disputed the charge with the bank.

keeps calling my mom saying she owes $800 for something that was bought on amazon. She is elderly. Called the number back, they said I created the account using the number I was calling from - I WAS CALLING FROM FLORIDA. She lives in Georgia so it was a total scam!!

I bought a computer from Amazon to be delivered to Saudi Arabia (as a gift), when the computer arrived, it didn't work so i requested a return. I called Amazon to follow up my refund and they said they have system error, and I asked to talk to a supervisor (he sent me his amazon ID), he told me that i need to buy google play card with $500, then he kept asking me to buy more so that he can fix his system and release for me my refund. Then someone else called me saying he is amazon billing manger and said due to the system error, he will issue an invoice with total $4000 (attached the invoice he texted to me) and once I send him this amount using google cards, he will release my refund, also I recieved another call from someone told me he is the area manager and he told me don't worry i will refund your money but don't answer any other person says he is from amazon

Got number from google to call amazon, spoke to two people impersonating amazon customer service. They said in order to replace my issue, i would have to purchase 3 google play cards because their system was down, i said, amazon would never treat a customer like that, then they said they were cancelling the complaint and to call a different department!

It all started when I just wanted to push back a payment till I got my next paycheck. I called amazon number listed on the internet 1 888 737 4485. I thought they sounded fishy because i was out money on my amazon account for that my account was under a red flag. Beinh under a red flag was also the reason they couldn't push the date back. My wife grabbed the number what I thought was the real Amazon number 1 877 225 9020. So we hung up on the first guy. With this number they said I talked to a Steven 1 855 446 8988@ext 9891 claiming to be from Seattle wa. I was told that a Robert Wilson hacked my account. So it all sounded to be the same thing going on.Then my wife looked at the account. Sure enough charges were on our account through our credit union. The guy said he could reimburse me for the charges that Robert Wilson made. I would just need to get a google play card put 100 dollars on it.I got one thinking that it would get credited to my account. I thought that he was just using this for a verification reason on my location. After that was given to him he asked for 480 dollars. I told him that I don't have that type of money in my account. I started getting mad at him and my wife said, now just wait this all makes sense now if this gets loaded immediately into our account we can bounce a check and get the 480 so we did. Then he said that the guy was new and messed up it was supposed to be 500 dollars more before we can get the money. My wife said just do it get it over with. I said no after walking into walmart to bounce another check. I went in and saw for no reason ever give a pre paid card over the phone. That's when I took completely over. I told him just give me the money that I gave you to do this transaction. I did my part and I still didn't see anything on his end. I said that I cant do that not will I give him any more money. He got mad at me then hung up. 580 dollars of prepaid cards out from that and 280 dollars from what they did on Amazon on my account. Plus they locked me out of the account, so I called to cancel that account and cancelled all my cards. Called the police and google play. Google play said they are a victim in this too. I gave them my Google play card information to see if they know who claimed it.

called and stated they wanted to confirm my order for Amazon. I have not made a delivery with Amazon, nor has anyone in my family.

- Dillon, CO, USA

Caller left a message wanting to confirm if I made a purchase on my account and stated to call the number back but the number was not active.

- Clinton, WI, USA

Just got a text for a special offer....seems a bit odd.

- Columbus, OH, USA

I received a phone call that my Amazon account had been compromised, and someone had charged my account for $200 anti-virus computer equipment. (His name was Robin with an Indian accent). Foolishly, I gave him access to my computer. I was told I'd be contacted by Amazon to refund me the $200. I was then called by Dan Williams (1(413)252-0656 (Belchertown, MA), to refund me the money. I was told it would be a transfer of funds to my bank acct. Again, very foolishly, I gave bank information, and $500 was stolen from my checking account.
