The male representative (with an Indian accent), told me that he would cancel the order but that I had to access a website so that Amazon and my computer could connect and go through the cancellation process. The website address that he gave me was www.CBTTR.com. I told him that I did not feel comfortable giving them access to my computer and told him that I needed to investigate this order further before proceeding. After verifying charges with my credit card company and my amazon account, it was determined that this "order" was never placed through Amazon, credit card was never charged and that the individual was trying to gain access to my computer.
1) Hold the windows key down and hit "r".
2) Hit OK, I assume he meant Enter.
3) Click on Services and choose the option "To check security".
I told him that I didn't trust his directions so he gave me his "direct" phone number. *************. I did not follow his directions during the call or after. I did contact Amazon and make a report. The Amazon representative said that no one from the company would ever contact an account holder in this manner.
I did not fall for this. I contacted amazon directly there was no such attempted charge.
The first message said it would be delivered on Sunday. I'm not Marguerite or maybe that was supposed to be the person sending it. I never received a package. But I am not familiar with Amazon giving out rewards. I did not call nor did I contact them by what appears to be a website. I think someone was trying to contact me for fraudulent purposes. I'm not sure this was a fraud, because I didn't respond. It does sound fishy. ( I don't really know what kind of fraud it was, because I didn't respond.I put counterfeit product, because I had to put something.)
I called my credit card company and did not see any charges or pending charges.
I went on my Amazon account as well to see if there were any current orders and did not see anything either.
The phone number they called me from was my phone number.
I did not do my research soon enough, and I did not ask my mother enough questions, and I was not patient enough to write their information down and tell them I would get back to the. Luckily, I got the payment stopped, called the fraud department at the bank, and called the local sheriff.
Wished I had done research first.

I did open because I have orders still processing at Amazon. I forwarded the email to Amazon spoof and they said that it definitely was not sent from them. Not sure what would happen if I would have answered the email.
