Foreign speaking individual left VM saying they are the "Amazon support team" and needed her CC to complete her order (she had ordered something from Amazon and received it). She didn't give them her CC # and they hung up.

This person has been using other phone numbers to reach me about verifying my address or account on numerous occasions. When you click the link, the first thing that pops up is a sweepstakes ad offering $100 gift cards to Amazon.

I called a number i found on the internet that was supposed to be for amazon to get a return label for an item i ordered and the guy i talked to got into my account and started purchasing things i did not. I had to close my card associated with my bank account but not before they got $80 out

Received a text to check the address information for shipment. Sender was Amazon.

My husband received a text stating that someone made a purchase on Amazon and used his credit card. Stated please call this number. I work in IT so I told him to call credit card co. The number was not to cc company but I didn’t know since I was at work. When I got home my husband was on his computer talking to the guy from the number he called. This guy was foreign and stated his name was Steve Johnson. I noticed that my husband had allowed this guy that said he was from Amazon to connect to his computer. I took over and asked the guy why he had to get on our computer and he said to refund the purchase and that he was from Amazon. I told him that Amazon didn’t do this and why did he need to get in the computer. He got mad and started talking to my husband and not me. He asked my husband to fill out the amazon form he had brought up on the computer. I told my husband not to do anything while I call my office to see if an amazon scam had been reported and once I talked to them I cut off the computer but the man was still on speaker phone and he was so mad. My husband called them back after I told him he had been scammed and the same guy answered the phone. My husband told him what he thought about him and the man just laughed. 888 369-9243 number that was sent to text to call about amazon charges. They even gave my husband a bogus amazon Id #.

I called 888-737-1679 on 3/5/2020 at 10:14 AM ct thinking i was calling Amazon customer service to report a unexplained charge on my debit charge from them. I was asked for my full name, last four digits of debit card involved and expiration date of that card. I provided that information and then was asked for the credit card numbers of my Amazon credit card. I never have had a amazon credit card and found it strange it would be needed, this representative said it was okay but that i then needed to go purchase a amazon gift card worth $25.00 USD from a nearby store and then call back to give them the numbers off that gift card. The representative said this was all necessary to obtain my location as a security precaution and that after i will be reimbursed my $25.00 USD and my case will be forwarded to the security department. I then hung up knowing this is a scam and i also plan on reporting this to Amazon.

got a call from amazon customer service stating that someone ordered something with my account and they wanted to alert me and help get my money back. thanked them for checking this out because i had previously purchased something for wife on there and thought info had been compromised. told me to go to walmart or kroger to get playstation gift cards totaling 900. stated that if anyone asked tell them i was getting the gift cards for grand kids. purchased the gift cards and got outside to the car and they asked me to scratch off the back of the gift cards. gave him the info but found out a gift card was missing, thought it got lost in the wind because i did drop the bag and had to chase them down. was instructed to go back in and purchase another set of (9) gift cards. Did what was instructed and gave them the info off the back of those cards.had already spent 4 hours on the phone with them in hopes that doing this will help recover the lost money from amazon. gave them access to account info to help replace lost money. they sent 1,000 which was too much money. told them to take back the add'l money and only give back what was lost from account so i wouldn't be liable for extra money giving. the next day more money was missing from my account. called amazon customer service and while on the phone with them, the same guy called back using an amazon customer care number. clicked over and he was requesting more gift cards, stating the kroger server crashed and he will need to go back in and get another set of gift cards.

Lady said she was calling to see if I was interested in working from home with Amazon. I said yes because I had say the ads throughout the internet. She asked if I was familiar with Amazon and I said yes. Then she asked was I a Prime user and I said yes. She then just hung up on me. I pray she doesn't have any of my info by calling me because I didn't give her any info. I went and tried to call the number back but they continued to pick up and hang up. Be careful people she did sound professional.

I received a phone call from someone who left a message saying he was with Amazon and my account had been compromised, and I should not make any purchases or transactions until I talked to the Amazon technician at the help line. I did return the call to 917-677-5725.. When I returned the call, he answered "Amazon" and said someone had purchased a Samsung Galaxy 5 for $349 on my account, and was calling to see if I had made that purchase (which I did not make). He correctly told me the last purchase I had made before that on my Amazon account. He said he would delete the charge for the phone and I should not order anything else from Amazon until I allowed him to straighten the account out. He told me he would put a freeze on my Amazon account so no one else could make an unauthorized purchase on it. I asked him several questions to verify he was with Amazon, and he answered them correctly, but did laugh at me because I was being so careful. I don't see well, so told him I would wait until a family member was at my home so we could call and allow him to make the necessary changes to get my Amazon account back where I could use it. She was here today and we called the number..917-677-5725. He asked her to go to a website where HE COULD ACCESS my computer. He asked her to put in my name and gave her a security number to use. Fortunately, the security number was invalid, and she got suspicious and called Amazon at a number (from Amazon's website) I had used in the past for various reasons. AMAZON confirmed that 917-677-5725 was not a customer service number to their company, and also said Amazon would NEVER call a customer unless the customer had called them first to help resolve a problem. So she hung up the phone and the scammer never got access to my computer. Customer Service at Amazon (the real Amazon) said there was never a freeze on my account, and confirmed no unauthorized purchases had been made on it. I am thankful for this outcome, and thankful that I lost no money in this scammer's lies. The "real" Amazon agent said he would report that incident and phone number to Amazon's security department.

I got an email that said my Amazon account had been frozen I looked online for a phone number for customer service and called the number I found 877-774-0464. A man answered and I thought it was Amazon. He did a lot of fast talking and before I knew it, he had control of my computer. He said a lot, someone had changed my password and was trying to buy a TV from overseas, identity theft security alert, cyber crime, criminal activity, he wanted to know if I did banking online, etc.

He said I needed a web security engineer and that he could connect me to one. He said it was Way Logistics and would cost $150. and would be a one time fix. I told him my college age grandson would be home soon and I would talk to him. Could he give me a number for my grandson to call and talk to Ways Logistic and he said no, they only worked for Amazon. He scared me some more and pressured me a lot more to let him connect right then. I called Amazon with a number that I got from ScamPulse.com and they said this was not an Amazon telephone number. He had control of my computer. I did not give permission to control it, He has my email address.

My elderly mother received a voicemail on her land line telephone stating that $77.97 would be withdrawn from her checking account for her Amazon purchase and was asked to call back at 352-254-3010 to confirm so her package could be sent. No orders had been processed through her Amazon account. When I called the # above to verify it was Amazon, I was asked for my name which I did not give but asked them to confirm that they were Amazon and he advised that he would give me his name which he said was [censored] and that I was [censored].

WAs called and told that my Amazon account had been charged 77 dollars and some cents for a recent transaction. Please call this number if this was not a transaction of yours. When you call back this number they want your name - when I gave my name they told me my Amazon account had been charged for a ITunes gift card. They wanted me to go to my Amazon account. They asked if I was at a computer or had an I-Phone or Android so I could go to my Amazon account. I told the rep then that I was not comfortable with this phone call and I would check my Amazon account myself. "We are trying to help you with this charge, miss" was the reply. I did tell them that I didn't appreciate his rudeness and hung up.

The next day I got another call from the same people. I called them back gave a false name and the same scene played out--- I did tell them that I was going to notify the ScamPulse.com and report the scam. I heard someone say - "Quick, hang up the phone"

Received 3 seperate text messages. Stating: ***, please check the address information for shipment ID: 4R22H8 HERE: mun0.info/RW6QnEaZ14 Sender: AMAZON
