Someone called and said that because I have paid my bills on time and purchased items at Walmart, I won a Mercedez Bens and 1.5 million dollars. The line cut and he said "Can you hear me?" And I said yes. He then said he was going to transfer me to his manager and put me on hold. His manager picked up and said that I have won a BMW and 2.5 million dollars. He eventually asked me what bank I use at which point I hung up. The same number called again numerous times, which I did not answer.

Consumer reported that he received a computerized call from someone claiming to be with WalMart. The message from the call stated that since he had been such a loyal customer of WalMart, he was chosen to receive a gift card for anything in the store. Consumer was instructed to call 919-813-2502 for full details. The consumer, suspecting it was a scam, did not call.
