called a oriental speaking man very bad English saying they check my background had no bankruptcy or never been arrested.only 15,000 people eligible for this and i was one of them. it is for 9000.00 non taxable and do not have to pay back. need to register with a bank in new york and then give then account information so they can deposit the money in the account.

I was told that I had be selected to be given government money. Since I have always paid taxes on time. I was told I would have have to call this number which is the treasury the number given was 202 239-1933 then give them this confirmation number of js121 . Then go to Wal-Mart and pick it up by instgram. If the number above was busy just keep calling to I get through.

I had a call from someone saying that I was going to be awarded a government grant for $7000 dollars. He told me that I would be paid by Western Union and asked for my Age, Address and Zip Code. He said to call his supervisor and they would set up the transfer of the money. I was to call 646 863 9198 but I feel this is a scam.

I received a call from Kristy telling me that I had won $9,000 from the Government in the form of a grant. All I had to do was go to Walmart and get a money gram for $250.00. I asked her if I won the grant, why did I have to pay them money. She said well $9,000 is a lot of money and you need to pay the taxes on it. I said I wasn't sure, that it didn't sound right and that I was going to call the BBB. She said I needed to "trust" her and send the money, then she'd be able to put the money in my account. I told her I wasn't sure and needed to call her back. Called the BBB, and the confirmed it was a scam.

Received numerous phone calls especially from a man named Shaun Grant a few days ago who told me that my name was picked out of a database to received a grant of $6,700 and of course I was happy; than he gave me directions of how I am supposed to do to receive the grant which I thought was free since my name was chosen because I had paid my bills on time and I didn't have any bankrupt. So, he told me after I wired meoney of $250 earlier that day by using a money gram to money gram and than afterwards to send $590 for their bank to transfer my supposedly grant money to my bank in the US from their bank in New York. We'll, needless to say, I had sent and overall total of my own personal money of $543 money gram to money gram and than he told me that I should receive it within 30 minutes and I didn't receive it at all after 4 or 5 days later and when I finally got in touch with him he than tells me that I want receive my money at all unless I sent $300 for the final payment for their bank to send the money to my bank. I am a very upset single mother of three and it hurts me because I am not working right now and I am unemployed and that was all I had; in order to take care of my three kids; and he and whoever is involved have taken away from my kids and myself as far as food in which I had to go to the pantry. I wanted to receive in which I thought would be a blessing but this was and still is tortured and I have been crying everyday because now my rent is past due and I thought Shaun would keep his word. And I am praying that justice will prevail and deliverance of anyone who can do a horrible heartless thing like this. Oh by the way his number is 1-631-319-0343 and that is if he answers. This has caused a hardship for me and my kids because we need our money to buy things and to live. My prayers is that Shaun and his buddies pay me the money which is mine and to anybody else who has been scammed by a phony government.

I told them I didn't need a grant and they hung up.

i received a call from *** *** who was foreign from ph# 1202-621-0719 and told me that the IRS was doing an investigation on me and that i qualified for $9.000 from them and had all this information on me and wanted me to send them 250 dollars money graham. and then they would send it western union or checking account. Which i did not give out any of the info. I am sending you this info for i feel that this is a scam and if they are calling me they are calling others. If you have any more questions for me feel free to call me.

Received a call from Robert Jones of US government in Washington DC. He said I was awarded a $10,000 grant that I did not have to repay. Needed to call 206-445-0910 to get a code and then needed to send a $300 security deposit in order to get the grant. Wanted to report this.

Caller has received 10-15 calls from various phone no's in different states. Callers are foreign and say they're from US Govt and consumer has qualified for a grant of $9K. They give a phone no. to call to find out about it and want Paypal payment of $400+ and consumer will receive all the money within 15 minutes. She was told she could use it for anything she wants.
