I called the second number and spoke to a man, who did not identify himself. He said he needed me to log into my computer. When I told him I didn't have a computer and never had a subscription to Norton, he said we'll cancel the order on our end. When I asked how I know you're cancelling the subscription I've never had to begin with, he hung up on me.

I called back and the person answering identified himself as "David with Norton". Explained how previous conversation didn't sound right. He also wanted to get into my computer. He said my computer had been hacked and your account has been charged. I asked how I could report this and he said "you're speaking to David with Norton". I told him I was reporting this and he hung up on me.

A man, claiming to be a representative of ADT Security knocked on my door and stated that they have a program that allows them to donate smart smoke alarms because mobile homes burn very fast if on fire. I said I had smoke alarms and wasn't interested. I asked him what he was selling and he stated that he wasn't selling anything. He kept asking if he could come in and give me 5 minutes of my time. Said no so he finally went directly to my neighbors house to give the same pitch. I overheard him day something about $55 per month if they qualified. I went over and confronted him about stating he wasn't a salesperson and he said he wasn't. We got into a debate about him being legitimate as he did not have an ADT Security ID badge, did not wear a uniform (he was dressed like a business man), and when asked for a business card he didn't have any. He stated that it was a digitized business card because thats how it works these days and he could send it to me if I gave him my phone number. I refused. I asked his name and he stated that it was Daniel Perez or Peraz. But, he didn't show any ID that verified that. I will be calling the Los Angeles branch of ADT Security at 323-276-3100 to let them know that this man appears in every sense to be a scammer.

P.S. I forgot to mention that when he first approached me about who the program was through, he pulled out a piece of paper that showed a picture of the blue ADT Security logo sign that some people use in their yard or window. I guess he thought this would prove he worked for them.

I was to call this # and when I did I got a foreign sounding lady who prompted me to go to the Anydesk app and install it, once I did that, I was like, OMG! I hung up on her and she tried to call back and sent another email!

Subject: Coinbase Case #14791082 Fraud/scamming report

After discarding my iPhone for a new one in January, I spent several days trying without success to access my Coinbase (CB) account. Unable to find a Customer Help telephone number on the CB website, I discovered the phone number 866-954-0211 for CB Customer Help on the Google browser. On February 23, I called that number and spoke to a "David Mathews" who identified himself as a CB employee who could help restore access to my blocked account. As with services such as Apple Help, he asked for and received remote access to my account. Over the next several days he and his colleagues "James" and "Jason Brown" spent countless hours up to and including March 3, purportedly attempting to repair my authenticator connection and restore access to my CB account. In that process they (or possibly someone else) withdrew from my Bank of America (BoA) checking account without my knowledge or consent and transferred into my Coinbase account the sum of $2,000 on February 27 and $3,000 on March 3. On that latter date, "Jason" tried to persuade me to authorize a transfer from my BoA account to CB the sum of $25,000 (which he promised would be promptly returned to my checking account). His stated purpose was to use that transfer as a "decoy" to catch a hacker, who he said was hacking my account. At that point, I realized that the three "CB officers" were in fact fraudulent hackers and scammers. In speaking with a real CB Customer Help officer (Lynn) on March 4 (I only found her telephone number through a long series of chats the night before on the CB website), I learned that the sum of $6,800 (the entire amount of my CB holdings) had been withdrawn without my knowledge or consent from my CB account and transferred to an unknown wallet.

During the 7 or so days that the fake CB employees were "trying to restore my account," they made numerous calls to me from their phones as follows:

In the days following March 3, “David” has made many calls to my home from telephone number 786-540-6946 “apologizing” for my loss and offering to help me recover it. I refused to engage him in conversation.

Today, I received an email from Amazon indicating my account was accessed by a third party, maybe part of a phishing scam. I am not tech savvy, I just have a cell phone, not a computer.

My father bought a new LG smart tv and when setting it up was prompted to call a number/go to a website to fix a connection issue. The fake customer service prompted him to download software (anydesk) onto his PC, took remote control of his phone and attempted to have him log into his bank account on his PC. He became suspicious and ended the call, but is concerned about information that was compromised in the process of logging on to his devices. When he tried to end the call, they informed him there were fraudulent charges on his Amazon credit card card and they would let the charges go through. He did log into the television with his Amazon card, but he has closed this account.

bought a new smart tv (sony) from costco. During the setup, as I tried to install amazon prime, i got a warning on the tv screen to call a number. I did so. They identified themselves as amazon prime. said my account was hacked in mexico. they wanted me to download a program that would give them access to my cell phone and then have me try to make a bogus purchase just to see if the account was working right. at this point I hung up on them. Costco refused to admit any responsibility. Sony refused to admit any responsibility. I did contact amazon prime and reported it.

I was on phone support with Hulu to setup steaming service and then charges started appearing on my **** credit card account through paypal. the credit card was cancelled.

Recieved an email from Norton claiming they were charging my account $350 and I do not have an account with them.

Went online and tried looking at a website (graffiti designs for print) I went and looked at pictures and I clicked on a picture. I tried looking throughout the page and they wanted me to log in, but I wouldnt because I didnt have a log in. Next thing you know a website pop up and and I looked up HP support because I thought my computer is being hacked. I spoke with HP through email and emailed me back with case number and product/problem details. It had a phone number listed on the email and I decided to call for more info. I talked with a man and he walked me through the steps and if I had Mcafee on my computer he asked me to go through my trash to re download Mcafee and told me my subscription was expired and I need a new one and proceeded to tell me he has one available for $39.99 for a 1 year warranty and he wanted it through paypal and I told him I did not have it and he claimed I can just add my debit card. I gave him access to my computer once I gave him access he started working on my computer and it wouldnt let me login. He asked me to troubleshoot and I did. He told me it was taking too long to login and it shouldnt take long. He pressured me to set up the mcafee account and it took so long he transferred me to someone else and I gave another man access to my computer and I seen a lot of black stuff running down my computer. He kept saying he couldnt set it up and asked for a picture of what my computer and I did. I was then transferred to a third person and they asked me for my phone info and he got access to my computer and my phone and said my IP was public. And I didnt know what that meant. He went through all my apps and asked me to go to Cash App and load money and I sent them $624 and then $399. They were tricking me so good my bank was trying to call me about the charges but I didnt see it because they had control of my phone. They hacked into everything. Suppose to be HP support.
