This is the text message I woke up to this morning, August 25, 2022. I had a feeling it was a scam. I can't seem to get an actual picture from my phone, so I sent it to my email. There are too many numbers for a phone number. The text came from (18434570215) Number was longer than what a phone number should be. It's sad what people do for money and to hurt others. I was randomly targeted. Don't know how they got my phone number. I did NOT respond in anyway to these [censored]!

The phone number in the message is a California number, maybe. I don't know anything else.

This is the message I received by text:

Uses cashapp names $finalspin40, $onlywinners2026, $heywin247. Contacts you through WhatsApp like most do when you play Orion Stars or FireKirin. You cash app then money, they load to game you win or lose. They have cashed people out before but they steal most peoples money. I’ve deposited over $400 because I didn’t realize all those cashtags were same person, cashapp let’s then change them and won’t help me get refunded. My redeem amount for winning was suppose to be $150. They refused came up with excuses promised me to send my money back and didn’t. They blocked me. I had over 1100$ on game. I just got online they stole it all. 254-726-521917. They are scamming hundreds of peoples a day. Cashapp and whatsapp need to get rid of them so they cannot do that anymore to stupid people like me.

The scammer sent in a postal saying that I was winning $100 for Walmart or Target and then if I did not call right away that it was going to be foreclosed and then I was not allowed to have it anymore I I was kind of excited and it says Final Notice on it and that's what kind of baby even more excited because of the way that it was posted.

Scammer called for several weeks, saying I had won 7 million dollars. He said I needed to purchase a vanilla gift card for 350 dollars. When I said again, it was a scam, he gave me his banking info and I used it to pay 176.16 dollars. Now he insist that I get the gift card.

All of these sweepstakes say you win.and you never ever receive anything

He is a winner of a mega million 273,000,000, giving back 30,000 in a U.S. raffle and I supposedly won by.my name being drawn out and this person is calling from somewhere in New York, and it sounds real because he is not getting totally any personal info on like any accounts, but everyday he is calling me, from either a blocked number or a private.. Other than the number up above that is listed, and im very exhausted by his ways of being pushy about me paying up front taxes, and my friends wanted to check to see what is really going on, and if I can get him for harrassing me everyday, he gets very upset if I mention scam so I needed some general advise on what to do. Pleaseand thank you...

My name is *** ***, I'm 84 years of age and I got a call from a David Oniski, stating it was my luck day. I'm the winner of a Half A Million Dollars, Mercedes, that was going to be delivered to my home. First, I have to $1755.00 to Maury Morris to 6655 Morris Street, Albany, NY 92208. Once I do that, the money is on it way to my door, with my car and the IRS will accompany my winnings. Then I ask him, Did he think I was born on a trurup truck yesterday? I knew that was a scam. He didn't even ask me my name or where did I live? He just went in to his speech. Just recently moved in with my daughter so, he doesn't have my address and I have a cell phone. How would he know where to even send any money to me.

Did not get the scammer's phone number, but a fake business called Messiah Ward Company, 5178 S. Columbine, Baton Rogue, LA 70808, said his company is a part of the ScamPulse.com and that I had won some kind of sweepstakes. But first I had to buy gift cards from Walmart and give him the numbers in order to claim my winning prize. I knew it was a scam and hung up.

The caller stated that I won a sweepstakes and all I needed to pay was $85.85 via credit card.

Contacted by men calling themselves Dave Sayer and Wayne Brady, telling me I had won $7000 a week for life.

- Orange, TX, USA

Got a call from Dave Sayer stating I won $1.1million dollars, a car and flowers.  They call from 876-819-2645, the check will be cut Feb. 06 at 12:00 pm.  Dave told her she can them at any time.

In 2014 my mother was contacted because she had apparently “won some money”. After four years she has yet to receive any earnings. They have asked for her social security number as well as bank account number. I have tried to convince her that had she won anything, they would not need that information and they would have already given it to her.

I got a call that I had 14 thousand dollars but, I didn't do anything in which I would get that much.

I received a call that I had won 1.5 million in the Florida lottery but, I know lotteries are illegal.
