SLD Financial Reports & Reviews (182)

I got the invite for an interview on monday On asking for the job spec, they said that it will be a directors call explaining about the company. Half of my way through the presentation I realized that there is something fishy about this company after all how can a nurse become the director of a financial institution.
I dropped out of the meeting half way through

I did one of those bad application things on Careerbuilder I figure that sld company was one of the application that I had done with in that mass send out of my resume. I receive a text message after I didn't answer the call or text message that from her old stuff like the other complaint I can see on here. I too was scheduled to have a zoom meeting today at 12 9 Pacific and after reading these report but I'm very thankful for you than the screenshot that were included I have took them to tell them I know you're a damned leave me alone don't ever contact me again you are being blocked and I thank you all for putting your expanded on here for others like myself to read before even getting a toe in that scam, so thank you.

I connected on zoom but never got any audio. When I left meeting to call to see what problem was they were unable to sort it out. I told them the problem was with out internet service and this obviously was not going to work and goodbye. After I found this report on them I realized I lucked out. I do consulting engineering work so unfortunately my resume is out there for too many people to see. If I had heard their story I would have dropped them anyway. Thanks for the scam information.

I was just about to get on a zoom call and found this information. Thanks for everybody putting this out there, as I did see this site on my phone when trying to research them.

Got a call from Adam Alvidrez at SLD, wanted to set up a zoom interview. They saw my resume online and think I make a good fit. They followed up with a text from Rosa at SLD. Glad I read your reports before going on zoom. I will not be taking part in that interview now.

I have exactly the same experience as the above person writes. I am SO GLAD I investigated this before clicking on the zoom link this Rosa sent me!

I got the same thing today. Set up for Wednesday interview via zoom. Won't be doing that now.

Just received a the same text. First of all the woman sounds unprofessional and there was a dog barking in the background. Really?! Of course it’s a scam. There’s no way any respectable financial institution makes calls like this especially contact candidates via text as opposed to a proper email. Again financial services do not behave in this way given the formality of the industry.

Contacted by "A Rosa @SLD regarding my resume. Wanted to schedule an online interview an to call her at 949-216-4131. The text came from 949-407-7922. I called back and asked to speak to Rosa. Spoke to an Amy as Rosa was on a telecon. Stated that their director had seen my resume on a job site and wanted them to give me a call to see if I was interested. Not having a job for awhile of course I am interested. She stated she had Sat, Mon or Tues open. I still didn't know what was going on and so I scheduled for Zoom interview for Monday. Afterwards I got on the internet to get some background and saw their website and said I could do that as I also have a strong financial background from previous job and having worked at a bank at one time. I happened to see SLD is a scam. So now I am not sure what to do. While I love the idea of working remotely and having a job. I don't want to feel like I've been played. It is not easy trying to find a job right now.

Just received a similar call yesterday for a phone interview today.

Your reply

Here is the screen shot.

Random text from someone named "Rosa." Never sent them a resume. No mention of what the company does or what job I had "applied" for. Basic due diligence reveals its a scam. How are people still falling for this bs?

It's a simple question: what does your company do? What product or service is provided?

Now we see sock puppet accounts insisting that this is not a scam. If your "employees" do nothing but recruit other "employees" then its a scam. If you sell X product at Y cost = not a scam.

I asked what position is available and she said..oh I'm not sure..we have to ask Rosa what position. That was weird..plus they text me on a Saturday..pic below..be aware

I received a text from Rosa asking me to sign up for an interview based on my resume. A) I’ve never heard of this company and had not send them a resume. B) I knew it was a scam by this person addressing me by a hyphenated name that hasn’t been used in YEARS. The next day I received a 2nd text checking to see if I’d scheduled an interview. What kind of company wouldn’t know if a person they’re pursuing got an interview or not? I promptly blocked the number.

got a text from Rosa "This is Rosa @SLD regarding your resume. We have a couple of questions and possibly schedule an online interview. Call me at 949-216-4124". The next day "This is Rosa at SLD, just checking to see if you got scheduled for your interview. Please call if still interested 949-421-6263". From what I'm reading, this is a complete and total SCAM.

Just received a text from our Rosa @ SLD. Don't remember applying to an SLD. Bye, Rosa!

Just got this text as well today..its looks like this..SCAM!

They send a text to get you to call a second number, then ask to set up an interview, but they never send a confirmation. They take your name and get you to say yes

This company is nothing but an MLM. Here's how I know:
1. They take a fee upfront for classes that they say you'll get back if you meet a certain quota (most people don't get this back, including myself)
2. The idea that "anyone from any background can do this" is a classic MLM campaign. It gives people hope that they can get a finance job that doesn't require a finance background and make decent money. People in desperate situations are vulnerable to the idea that with just a month of training, they can make money that will change their lives.
3. My "trainer" never helped me with anything. Once I passed my exam, I asked them if they had time to call me and discuss the next steps. I didn't hear from them until 10 pm, when they called and told me to get in contact with the CEO (?) and figure out my business plan.
4. At first it seems like you're actually going to be helping people with their finances. Once you get into training, you slowly realize that the whole thing is designed around bringing more people into the company. In order to start working for them, you need to complete a "7 day standard". This includes sitting down with 3 family members or friends and discussing the company's business plan. Which I can only assume is to get them involved at SLD since at no other company that is not a MLM do you need to do this.
5. Multiple employees running the training stated the way they make money is by bringing people in and having them in your group. They say "do you think I wanted to sell insurance my whole life? no!" and then go on to say how they built a team and make money by getting a bonus when someone on their team makes a sale.
6. The last time I talked with anyone at this company was about 5 weeks ago. My "trainer" told me they were going to contact me and they just never did, nor did anyone else. I passed my exam and told them I was ready to get started. If this were a real company, someone would've at least contacted me once.

Maybe this company has helped people and I'm sure people are happy working here. But SLD shouldn't pretend they're not an MLM.

Thank-you so much for your post. I was contemplating paying the $100.00 for the training but I sensed the who game was an MLM and went looking for reviews and information. Without this, I would have been another victim!

This was her text to me. She sent a different number to call.
Hi Gwen Coker, This is Rosa @ SLD regarding your resume. We have a couple of questions and possibly schedule an online interview. Call me at 949-421-6263.

I received this text today from someone claiming to be with SLD. I've never sent SLD her my resume so I knew it was a scam. I looked through my phone and no one has ever called me or left me a voice message from this organization.

Good scam that seems to be going around a lot during these trying times.

The company is very good at providing no information. They can't tell you how they found you, can't tell you what credentials caught their eye, can't tell you the name of the jobs you seem to be a 'good fit for', they can't tell you anything about the company other than they're in the financial industry and that their 'hiring director' is looking at interviewing you right away. A "Rosa" texted from the number 949-518-0201.

Here's the text message: Hi [Name], this is Rosa @ SLD regarding your resume. We have a couple of questions and possibly schedule an online interview. Call me at 949-421-6263.
