While on the Instagram site on my cellphone, I clicked on an ad for end of season closeout sale on clothing on, what I believed, was the official jjill.com website. I selected and ordered items and paid with my debit card which was processed by my credit union the following day. No confirmation email was sent to me by the seller at the time of purchase.

Two days later, I received an email with the jjill logo as follows:

From: [email protected] 2025-01-19 13:22:37

contact us at [email protected]

Since Jan. 19, I have received no confirmation emails and no further contact.

To double check the order, I copied and pasted the service email into my browser on my tablet. The message from Malwaretips.com popped up to tell me that this address was a fraudulent shopping website.

By now, I immediately checked my financial statement. The transaction was paid, and the notation was not for the company as advertised.

I have filed reports with the Federal Trade Commission, the FBI’s IC3, (Internet Crime Complaint Center) and my credit union. I have also closed by debit card number (the seller has my information) and will be reissued a new card number.

Because this seller hid behind the name of a known business, I am unable to report it to the Better Business Bureau.

From this experience, I have learned important lessons – 1) do not make purchases from cellphone, and 2) don't use debit card to make online purchases. Protect yourself by using a credit card.

They steal information by have peoples bank information. It was easy to earn money you did different offers for games etc and they would put the amount of money into a balance and you had to use your link to invite friends. You have access to money but they said 1 month from when you click the withdraw button but nothing happened.

order a item online on Facebook which seller sent 4 items and charged my card without authorization for the other 3 bottles. Returned all items in November of 2024 and still to this day have no refund of monies even after many emails stating they will refund money. No answer at number so out of $187.89

- Newark, DE, USA • Feb 04, 2025

Ordered small quantity for trial in Nov. received double amount ordered and double amt charged on credit card. Called to return portion of order and told could not return as order processed and shipped but said they would credit 1/2 amount charged. I asked to be removed from their system and end of any further shipments or purchases. A week ago (3mo later) i received a package via usps containing the amount that was to be in the original Nov order. Obviously they set this up on a recurring order basis without my consent!!! I called a serenity garden #listed in Lakeland, FL but this is not address where the order actually came from or shipped from. I then called a Denver, CO # listed on the item and spoke with someone about the problem … however, I could not understand a word the person said and she would not transfer me, upon asking, to anyone that could speak clearly!!!! Asked her numerous times if this was the distribution center for product /which she never responded. I do have a dispute case in place and this is definitely a scam issue.

I placed an order on 12/5/2024. I never received my order. I contacted the company, they sent me a fake tracking saying my package was delivered on 1/6/2025 by USPS. I contacted USPS on several occasions and was told the order was never received for delivery through them. They have no tracking for the package.

Scrolling through Facebook I saw an ad for a walking pad for $39.99, the reviews were great, little did I know it was a scam. The day after the purchase my credit card was blocked for fraud. There were 5-6 pending charges from a Sports Arena in amounts of $400 + dls each.

I am now disputing the charges.

This is a scam. Came up on FB as Simms year end close out sale. I ordered some clothing thinking it was Simms. Got an email saying it was at customs. Package tracking has said "in transit" for over 3 weeks. The only thing that's changed is the date each day. Avoid them like the plague.

On Facebook marketplace is where I've gotten scammed. I was looking for pulled out couch/bed for my trailer. I came across a nice one I clicked on it and it took me to BIG lots blowout sale every thing was marked down to 70% to 90% the entire store. Being that Big lots was shutting down several stores I figured it was lejet. The next day I went to pull up Big lots Web site to login to show a friend the items and it kept saying wrong password which I know 100% it was right. So then I looked on the bank statement and it said 55.89 was paid to Romoryxmsusd!!!
