I just received a recorded phone message saying they were from the IRS, and we are being charged with fraud. It said they had tried numerous times to contact us in the last six months. That since they haven't been able to reach up we were being brought up on fraud charges if we didn't call this number.

I was contacted by the number listed with an automated message that there would be urgent legal/criminal action taken against me for back taxes owed and to call back the number immediately. When I called back the individuals I spoke with (whom had Indian accents) confirmed they were from the IRS and were looking for additional information. When I asked a couple questions they should be able to answer they became irritated and hung up the phone. After I called back a couple times requesting information from them they became hostile.

My concern is the aggressiveness displayed with their message and that they repeatedly confirmed they were calling from the IRS. If they were to target a more vulnerable person with such a message there could be some real harm done

Consumer recieved a call from a pre recording stating that I haven't paid my taxes and I would be arrested if I didn't pay.

They tried to tell me they were from IRS. That I owed from 2 years ago in 2016. I had a debt and needed to pay it. I told them I would need to move money and they told me I couldn't hang up or it would be incriminating evidence to use in the lawsuit against me. The gentleman Steve William decided to then tell me I would go to prison and that I should enjoy prison for 5 years since I am hanging up with him instead of paying. The name he gave was Steve William. His ID was 230370. The proposed case ID was CP791496.

The person stated they were with the IRS and if they did not contact them within 24 hours to contact them back law enforcement would be at his door. They also called back again from a phone number #858-861-4105 but did not mention law enforcement.

Caller with heavy foreign accent said he was from the IRS and I was going to be sued for owing $8395 in my 2012-2015 income tax returns. I told him I do not owe the IRS any money. I then reported the call to the BBB.

I received a call fro 208-423-7504 they said they were the IRS.

Name given was Jeffery Raybeano badge number IR-201589

gave me a case number and a warrant number said I owed the IRS $5850.00

and that they were sending the warrant to my local authority's and I will be arrested.

when I told them the IRS doesn't call people they will send a letter and I wasn't giving them my card number he hung up on me.

Beware of IRS calls, they say that you have to pay a certain amount of money for back taxes or you will be arrested. This is our second phone call, the first one was on the home phone and the second one was on our cell phone. Both wanted money or we would be arrested within the hour at our home and they also said that our home was under investigation. So Please Beware of These Calls and if you do get a call from them report it to the B.B.B. and don't be a victim by sending them the money!

The first caller was a foreign accent heavy, said he was calling on behalf of the IRS for debt collection and papers are being filed in the federal courthouse his name is Albert case number GS 4893, batch ID DC 180 409, said I owed $6,554,00. Very persistent asking me for information I told him he was calling me that he needed to provide me with information. He put me on hold another man came on that was very much more persistent than the first said his name was David Morgan and that they were filing charges against me in the federal courthouse if I didn't pay them some money today he said I could not hang up my phone he told me I needed to go to the nearest Dollar General and put $300 on a Google card and the whole time I could not hang up the phone I had to do the whole transaction getting in my car purchasing the card everything while he was on the phone I could not hang up with him if the phone hung up then he was going to pursue a warrant for my arrest. And there could be no third party involved I couldn't tell no one about this. He had even asked what kind of phone I had who was my service provider model and serial number of my phone.. he also asked me who has been doing my taxes, I told him if he was from the IRS he would know that. The phone call lasted 29 minutes and I was scared he said he was calling me back tomorrow.

On May 31, 2018 at 9:16 AM this morning I recd a voice msg stating they were with the IRS and I should respond within 24 hrs or I would be arrested and taken to jail. I called the ScamPulse.com and was told this was a scam and that the IRS will always send any outstanding balances by mail.

I received a phone call today 3 times from the phone number 716-616-9320. An automated message said I had a tax filing error & 4 serious allegations against me. I need to call back within 24 hours or the local police will arrest me. Of course I know this was a scam and did not call back. I am sure if I did, they would ask for money.

THE DAY THIS HAPPENED THE MAN TOLD ME WHAT I HAD TO DO. I HAD TO HAVE MY CELL PHONE ON AND HE WAS CONNECTED TO IT. I WAS GIVEN A LIST OF WHAT I HAD TO DO. GO TO KROGER AND GET A CERTAIN CARD. EACH CARD HAD TO HAVE MONEY PLACED ON IT. ALL THIS TIME THE MAN WAS STILL ON MY CELL PHONE. SHORTLY AFTER I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T HAVE ANY MORE MONEY HE SAID YOU OWE US $5000.00 MORE AND YOU ARE GOING TO PAY IT. GO GET YOUR FAMILY TOGETHER AND TELL THEM THEY HAVE TO GIVE YOU MONEY. WHEN I SAID NO, THE PHONE CALLS BEGAN. HERE ARE NOTES I HAVE: 6 CALLS FROM 716-371-8731 MARYLAND 1-410-100002 FRM 344-8605 ID:PVW CALIFORNIA CALL 650-262-5383 A NOTE SAID TRUSTED HAS NOTICED A CHANGE ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT. YOU MAY WANT TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT. I IGNORED THE CALLS. I GAVE THEM $2420.00 CASH THEY SAID TO GIVE THEM MORE MONEY. I TOLD THEM NO THAT I DIDN'T HAVE ANY MORE MONEY. I WAS TOLD THE POLICE WOULD BE AT MY HOUSE IN AN HOUR TO PICK ME UP AND TAKE ME TO JAIL. I TOLD THEM I WOULD BE WAITING FOR THEM. NO ONE EVER CAME.

They tried to contact me on "these issue in previous six months but we had never got response from you so it has been considered as an intentional fraud and lawsuit has been filed under your name by the United States government. You may call our department number at 254-226-9805." I listened to the voicemail they left and typed out the information exactly as it was left on my phone.

They called and left a message about something was about to expire. And I had 24 hours before I would have a warranty out for my arrest. And I called the number back. They said I owed on taxes I knew it was not legit so I contacted the ScamPulse.com to report it.

Stated he was from IRS investigation Dept. I said “yeah right, what do you want; I’m reporting this number” . He said something obscene and hung up. I reported to BBB; said this number had already been reported.

The scammer called my phone and left a message. The message is computer generated and claims that there is a legal petition notice concerning a tax fraud against me. Ask to call back at a phone number 1-408-713-1542 to talk to the sheriff (who "left" the message with a computer).
