He tried to download tracking software on my computer, lying, stating it was the process to refund an auto renewal charge

Received email informing that Best Buy is automatically renewing my membership services for another year at the rate $438. Though I do have a geek squad account, I do not pay Geek Squad for any renewals. The interesting part of the email was that it was addressed to a [email protected]. That is not my name or email address. Plus the 1-833-989-0117 number they had on the email, doesn't go through when dialed.

I received a text telling me my one year membership to GeekSquad was renewing for $249.99. I called the numbers given to cancel since I had never had a membership with GeekSquad. They asked me to sign into a website on my computer so they could process the cancellation and return my money. I went to the website on my cell phone and filled in a cancellation form (name, address, bank (no account info)). Then told me they would refund me $300 and sent a screenshot of a refund from Chase Bank in the amount of $3000.00. Then they said they made a mistake and I needed to send them back $2700. Wanted to access my bank account or use Venmo or go to my bank to get the money. I refused. They got aggressive and told me they would freeze my cell phone, my iPad and my computer. They had no access to my iPad or my computer. I hung up. They called back twice and I blocked the numbers.

Email saying subscription payment coming Invoice deleted for $213.00 plus $10 shipping and handling I told them to cancel and they said I had to open my computer and put in cancelation code while on the phone I assume giving them access. They could give me no dates no credit card from before why $10 shipping and handling charge for tech support??? They did say my computer would be shut down at midnight ( dramatic) and spouted off charges to get it computer turned back on. Of course now since I asked I should get a call back from supervisor . I called Geek Squad and they wouldn't give me any help saying they had thousands of phone numbers when asked to verify address I got yeah we have some offices down there I googled it and no Geek Squad Very disappointed in lack of help from Geek Squad. So here I am! Of course it was so noisey I could hardly understand them like typical mill. This kept screwing up

WHEN IN MY COMPUTER I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE A LOT OF PROGRAMS RUNNING ON MY COMPUTERS AND THEY WERE TAKING INFO FROM ME. THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO HAVE A FIRE WALL TO STOP THAT AND THEY WILL INSTALL ONE AND A LIFE TIME PROTECTION FOR LIFE WHICH I DID FOR $499.499.99 HAVE THEY INSTALL ANYTHING ???.HOWEVER ON MAY 11 I RECEIVED new invoice for $299.90 for protection 360?? I call them (866-216-0304)

to be told that was a mistake and they need to access again my computer to remove the new product. Stupid me I allow it and I one point they ask me to log in my bank account to refund the $ naturally they were looking for my bank account # because their invoice was only an invoice they didn't have to kn ow my bank account they only they have to do was to cancel the invoice. After arguing with the technician he told me that I need to talk to his supervisor, this arrogant person told me that it was a normal procedure and that if I wasn't complying he will charge me $899.99 right away for loosing their time . This company Geek Squad should be flagged and police should be involved because they are scammer that access your computer to access bank account and other personal informations.

I called this number 3 times. This man hung up on me when I suspected to be fraud. I then called corporate which is also listed under Best Buy. Corporate states that this is a fraudulent account. They are trying to tske money out of my account which I never authorized. I haven't had this type of service on my computer for over 10 years. The man wsnted me to go on this computer so he could access my account which I never initially had. He also ststed that funds were to be taken out of my account. I called my bank also about this and they were going to charge me money to stop payment on an account that I never authorized. This us not fair to me because I am being charged for something i never authorized. I am in between a rock and a hard place, because its not my fault

Under name of Geek Squad, emailer informs me that protection plan subscription has been renewed for $350 and to call 337-252-2085 to cancel. Upon calling, I was asked by so-called manager to access Team Viewer to process my cancellation. When I said I was using phone and could not, manager changed his tune and gave me a cancellation number. Both email numbers 337-252-2085 and 802-214-3243 answer as Geek Squad cancellation hotlines.
