First, the robocall from "Amazon" saying that my account had suspicious activity and that I shouldn't log onto my account from any device. Next, the caller insisted that I called them and that my Amazon account was logged in on 3 different devices in 3 different states. I guess that I asked too many questions because the caller got frustrated and threatened to do things that I'd rather not repeat.

Have received 3 packages never ordered. Reported to Amazon but they continue

Yesterday I received five phone calls on my home phone within two hours from Amazon. I know it is a scam. I answered the first call. The only reason I answered is because the phone number was similar to mine. The same exchange as mine. They mentioned Amazon Customer Service and I hung up. I don't have an account with Amazon. The other messages were so garbled I could not understand them. The two numbers in my caller ID were 440-871-1058 and 440-871-1954. I tried to call one of the numbers back and it was disconnected. I wanted to warn others about this scam.

Consumer was called on 3/1/2021 by a male with an accent claiming to be an Amazon representative. The caller stated that charges of over $1000 were charged to his Amazon account which they believed to be fraudulent. If the consumer did not provide them with information, the charges would not be able to be reversed. The consumer told the caller that he had not ordered anything, got the number of the caller, and hung up.

This person called pretending to be with Amazon. He said his name was Austin and he was calling to alert me of a suspicious $700 purchase. I don't have an Amazon account, so it confused me at first, but then I realized that he was trying to get my personal information. I ended the call right away. My bank account confirmed that there was no $700 charge. (Where you ask if he attempted to take money, I didn't give him a chance as soon as I realized that he was a fraud.

I answered a call on my home phone from Amazon. What was strange the caller had my full name and my husbands full name. He said somebody in Alabama charged $1500 to our account. We do not have an Amazon account. The caller wanted to know how to get the money back to me. I asked them to just credit my account. He said we can't do that. I did not provide any personal information. I do not have the number that called. We do not have caller ID.

Someone called me with a recorded message about Amazon Customer Service reporting action on my credit card account, Which I DON'T have. When I redialed the number 1-866-411-2221 I was connected with the L.A. ScamPulse.com office.

It was basically a phone call. It felt as if they were trying to fish for information. There was a pre-recorded message staining that the company Amazon was processing an order for electronics that was ordered by myself the amount of 200 some odd dollars. It says if you did not authorized this purchase to press the number two. Someone comes on the line and attempts to gain my information. I told them to give me my information since they're the ones that called me. they sat on the other end of the phone smacking on gum and not answering any of my questions. It felt completely fishy.

Robo call claiming to be Amazon Fraud Department. Claimed someone using my Amazon account purchased items costing over $800. Instructed to call number if I didn’t make this order. I was told to call 866-387-8360. I did not fall for this phishing attempt, but wanted to report it.

Yesterday I kept receiving calls on my landline from Amazon. It was relentless. They would call every fifteen minutes. It was a robocall with a woman's voice. Her name may have been Sarah. My Amazon account was charged in the city of Dayton. They wanted to verify if I purchased something in Dayton. I believe the amount was $700. I could not take it anymore. I pressed one to speak with a representative. A man came on the line. I said I don't have an Amazon account. He hung up. They kept calling I pressed one again. A man answered and I was transferred to a manager. He wanted me to get a $500 Target card. I was to read the numbers on the back. He said Amazon would pay for it. Would not cost me anything. I wonder how that would work. I knew this was a scam and played along. He gave me his phone number. 206-424-2096.

3rd phone call from "Amazon" saying fraudulant charges on amazon account. Asking to have access to a device so we can both look at charges. First two calls said there were charges for an Iphone for $499.00 on my amazon account. 3rd time I said I did not believe they were amazon and was going to report them. They hung up.

Got a phone message to call Amazon at 208 475-3713. Person at that number claimed that there had been a fraudulent purchase on my Amazon account. I checked and there hadn’t been one. He then me to log on to google chrome and he was going to take over my Amazon account to delete the fraudulent purchase. I could hear another guy in the background telling someone else to do the same.

When I told him I thought he was a scammer, I was put on hold with music and then a busy signal.

i RECVD A PHONE CALL/ RECORDING FROM 1-800-489-6963 into my house phone telling me there was a problem with my amazon account and to contact them.

- Staten Island, NY, USA

I am an Amazon prime customer, however last year, with all the massive purchases. My account manage to get hacked and someone used my account to purchase about $200 worth of items. They were purchasing items in a small increments. I reported to Amazon and lucky they refund me back the money. It's crazy, I thought with such large corporation, Amazon would of been more protective with customer Information and their account.

- Colonial Heights, VA, USA

I rec'd message something like, "if this purchase was made by me to hang up and item would be shipped; if not made by me, call customer service at 6282107183". I called # and man answered. He sounded like he was from somewhere like Pakistan or India ??? Asked me for my FIRST and LAST NAME and ZIP CODE. Asked if I'd purchased an Apple IPAD in CA for $349 (NO). Did someone in my house or in CA make the purchase? (NO) Did I have a computer?(YES) Would I turn it on? (WHY?) So we can fill out the form to report fraudulent activity. I HUNG UP. My mistake was in not looking up name and number of caller FIRST before calling: "Spam? Name U 7127035227"

- Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA, USA

Caller said he was from amazon and was checking the validity of a charge made on my account and verify the purchase. In this case, he said it was for an iphone for $799

When I said I needed to check with my husband he gave me a number to call back and said I needed to call back by today.
