I have received at least 2 of these texts in the last couple of days stating that I have won something from Amazon. One message was addressed to me and the other to my daughter but both were texts to my cell phone.

I received a email saying that someone was changing my password, the code was sent to my email and my account asked me was it me. I replied no. I proceeded to contact Amazon customer service to see if they could fix the problem. I asked them how many devices did my account have and the said 4, two in Virginia and 2 in Ohio. I don’t know a soul in Ohio for someone to have my account. The two that were here was my fire stick and echo. So they told me in order for them to remove these devices I had to be verified. So I told them okay. They proceeded to ask me if I had a “verification card” from Amazon, I told them no. They asked me to basically purchase a Walmart “e-gift card” or a Amazon “e-gift card” to verify my self because my account was hacked. This card was $100 which they said I wasn’t paying for a real card just a dummy giftcard ( so which made it a dummy card was me putting “Amazon verification card” in the message box ) and when I put that in there is was supposed to know to process and not take my money out of my account. Then it got worse!!! I had a another person try to help me fix the first person mistake buy sending me verification codes to my phone and I had to basically send them the amount money of the verification code for them to give me my money until it so deep to the point where they were trying to be so nice a helpful where I couldn’t take it anymore I just wanted my money back. They continued to tell me that in order for me to get my money back I had to continue the process And I never received it. I had to send them the money through either cash app or zelle. And zelle is where they took my money. So I can’t even trust Amazon customer service to do there job or maybe they need to look into hiring better customer service reps.
