This Company presents itself as if the products are made by hand by Russ Holcomb in Craftsbury, Vermont (USA). When I emailed them to report that my item was not as depicted, they replied that I would have to pay to return it to Hong Kong…. Entire website, product descriptions, etc. are in total lies.

I placed an order for what was described as a "hand quilted" bag that supposedly came from California. Photos showed a bag that had been hand-quilted with various materials and pieces, and even linked to a bio of the person who made these bags. Upon receipt, the bag looked NOTHING like the photos online and was clearly not handquilted but machine made. There was no quilting involved, and instead of being various materials pieced together, it was one piece of fabric that had stitching on it. The material didn't even look like the photos online. I contacted the company and they offered to take it back without paying shipping. I refused unless they pay shipping. I showed them photos and even sent a screenshot of their refund policy where it never states we have to pay shipping for return. They refuse to pay shipping and will not refund my money.

Craftfolk advertised merchandise that was handmade and high quality. The product I received looked nothing like the items I purchased. The website says that there are free returns but when I emailed them they said I needed to mail it to Hong Kong and pay for shipping.

Craft Folk advertises that it is website hosting merchandise for crafters and artisans making handmade goods. I purchased 2 laundry basket with a detailed description of them being hand quilted and 3D. Received cheaply made mass produced laundry bag with a printed image resembling the photos of real products featured on the website. Items came from China and not from the a quilter located in North Carolina.

I purchased 3 Martha's Sheep tote bags from this website. The bags were described as being quilted with appliques attached for the sheep wool and eyes. "Appliqued sheep — not printed The sheep motif is cut, layered, and carefully appliqued onto the panel. It won’t peel, crack, or wash off like a printed graphic ever would." They were reportedly made by Martha in the Blue Ridge Mountains, NC. When they arrived, 2 of the bags were quilted and lined, the 3rd had neither. All bags were just printed material. There was no applique on any of the bags. I have communicated via email with Alexandra from CRAFTFOLK multiple times. She indicated that they will refund my $150 if I return the misrepresented poor quality bags to them in Hong Kong, Level 7, World Trust Tower, 50 Stanley Street. The cost to return the bags was $35 by USPS today. I will now have to wait to see if they do refund my money.

My mom ordered a van purse that supposedly was being sold at half price because the woman in Sausalito was being forced from her artist studio to make way for housing. It was claimed it was hand drawn and sewn. The design arrived printed on cheap material. There is no woman artist behind it everything is false.

I clicked on an article that was on my Google Chrome homepage news feed about a man who makes bee hotels. The article was very convincing and appeared to be in a gardening publication. It had a direct link to buy one and the site had a Shop pay link which I’ve used many times and trust. But my card got declined and when I did some research I found that this is a recent scam site.

They are using photos from real handcrafted items and saying they are from local handcrafters. The items that showed up were plastic, and obviously made in China. Nothing like their website shows. I reached out to them for a refund, and they responded for me to send to an address in HONG KONG - and I pay for shipping, and I would only get 25% back. The address from the email correspondence said it's based in London. It was supposed to be made in the USA by hand quilters!!!

I was contacted on my personal phone with a text. The items are not hand crafted or anything like the images and such poor quality that they cannot be used for the intended purpose. I immediately asked about the return and the response took 10 days. The return policy is 35% back if you send the item to Hong Kong at your own expense. The refund is not guaranteed even then.

I ordered four Rain drums from this website which indicated that a former school teacher had personally made them. That she lived in Sedona Arizona. It said that if you did not like the product you could get 100% refund with free shipping all you had to do was email when I emailed that these were not handmade it turned out that I had to return them to China they offered a 25% refund if I did want to just keep them. I went back and forth with them for 2 days and finally they offered me 50% refund and that I could keep the product. I figured I wouldn't be able to get any more from them so I ended up taking the 50% refund. Many other reviews were bad after the fact but I only saw a good reviews when I purchased the product

I thought I was reading a newspaper article about a crafts person in North Carolina retiring. It was plausible because the article spoke about a specific type of loom weaving that used to take place in the south. So I placed the order and then I get a text from the number I reported from somebody named James or that’s what they said their name was they were verifying that I had no apartment number in my address and I said no it’s a home and then he immediately followed up. If I acted now I could get an extra 20% off and I did a little research and found out I was being scammed so I contacted my credit card company and I’m contacting you guys as well. this man refused to cancel my order and a message to the company through their website and an email have gone unanswered.

Craftfolk is using a heartfelt fake story about Margaret "Maggie" Whitfield who has a small shop in Sausalito CA that is being bought out by a company who will be building luxury housing and tearing down the shop she has had for many years. She was supposedly selling her beautiful bags half price due to these circumstances. The hand crafted bags are supposed to be hand quilted and made with high quality fabrics. They are not. Heres the link https://craft-folk.com/products/hippie-bus-weekender I bought 4 of these bags and the quality of them are awful. There is no hand quilting, no cute quilted outlines or detailed quilting of any kind. The fabric is printed cheap from china. I have the bags as proof and all of my emails to the company trying to get my money nack amd they would not give me a refund. Their wesite does say they will give a full refund. This issue was resolved through my bank. I got all my money back. I just want this story and website shut down so no one else gets scammed.

Craft-folk.com is a definite bait and switch scam. Goods are not handmade in America as advertised or pictured. They are very cheaply made and nothing as advertised. They want you to return it to China which costs more than the item. Do not buy from them!

They are impersonating a company claiming they are artist from different areas in the US. I order Dot's handmade Bee blossoms. Ot is a fake website. The product came from china. If you look in the contact information it shows the company is located in hong kong. They are claiming to have handmade products attached to a story about the artist and where the artist is from. On my order it shiws free shipping from USPS, but the package was shipped from uni uni. If you google the company there are multiple scam reports. I reported it to my credit card company and they denied it as fraud. However they received false information from the scam company

I ordered 4 bags and the price was higher than advertised. The bags were nothing like the description which said they were individually handmade by a lady named Martha who lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Quilted and hand appliqued, with a tag inside with her name, and there was more description none of which was true. When I tracked the package I could see it was coming from China and the address to return the bags (at my expense) was Hong Kong.

The website indicates you are buying a locally crafted item by an older woman in Weaverville, NC. Instead, if you try to return the item, you have to mail the product to China.

The item advertised was a "hand-stitched bag with sheep appliques" and the bag received had none of the features advertised. Cheap, factory made, no artwork, no signature.
