Received item that did not meet description in quality, size, weight and function. Website states that the product is made by retired craftsman from Vermont. When I contacted them to start return, I found out that I had to return to Hong Kong. (Wheel diameter stated that it is 16", actual was 4.75"; Video of product showed Frog leg pedalling the bicycle, leg was 1 piece of stationary metal; Total weight stated as approx 4 lbs, actual was 1.2# including packaging: Total height was stated as 56", actual was 41").

Bought on a whim which I never do. Saw an ad that looked like an article on Google news. Website seemed legit with lots of items from crafters. Cheap poorly made item arrived.

- Wilton, CA, USA • Jun 24, 2026

This site claims to be selling the original quilted bags hand made by Martha Hensley; instead they send cheap knock offs that are NOT quilted with textures like felt lamb ears or fur to actually touch. Instead they are 3D material mass produced with no textures at all, no tagging from Martha for originality and one bag had the stitching unraveling. I contacted them via email, they had no problem to say to return to Hong Kong though the money is processed through London on my credit card statement.

My negative experience is the same as the individual who posted a very detailed report on ScamPulse.com.

- Baltimore, MD, USA • Jun 22, 2026

I read an article in craft-folk.com that convinced me to invest in a Clayton Dawson bee hotel to add availability for mason bees to safely stay. I thought I was preserving a soon to be craftsman skill. Did not get what was advertised but a close item. Too bad!

- Canonsburg, PA, USA • Jun 21, 2026

Ordered whirligig flamingos from their website. Appeared to be a local US business and quality was listed as handmade and hand painted. What arrived was cheap thin metal stamped item that was to be hand bent to achieve the movement shown online. Doesn’t even resemble the item shown on their website. Cost over $30 each and they are complete crap. Pictures attached of what they advertise and what you get.

Found website with what was advertised as US made handcrafted products with bios of regional people making them. When I received the product and found it came from a Chinese shipper, the tote was not as advertised much lower quality and none of the embroidered accents advertised. I have attempted to contact but as yet no response.

BUYER BEWARE

Purchased "Maggie's Hand-quilted Hippie Weekender Bag" for $59.00 after reading an "article" about her retirement. The bag has been circulating the internet for years and they created a sense of urgency by claiming it was her last batch ever.

ALL of their photos of people are AI, the names used are incredibly generic, and the background of the "sellers/artists" are also AI generated. Their return address is in China despite their claims that "Maggie" is from California. I also received no confirmation email. I disputed the charge with my Bank, but please beware!! This "business" needs to be shut down.

The Craft Folk ad shows up on the Google home page as well as social media sites. It links to an article written for a legit-sounding garden magazine and features a bio and photos of artist Dorothy “Dot” Calloway making garden items in her NC studio. Victims are offered the chance to buy the “hand-crafted” items after reading a heart-warming story and facts about pollinator loss in US gardens. IT’S ALL FAKE! The “journalist,” “artist,” “verified reviews,” and photos are AI generated. I received crappy versions of the product that came from a company in China and I can’t reach a real person to return items. My only option is to ship everything at my expense to a Chinese address.

"STAY AWAY" from Craft Folk: craft-folk dot com/products/marthas-sheep-tote-bag.

Craft Folk is a SCAM business. It doesn't deserve to have even one star. The website tells lies. The item I received is not what was described in terms of quality. Even the bag shape is wrong. Made in the USA? The returned address is in China, however. I'm very disappointed and angry.

I went to purchase a hippie Weekender hand quilted tote bag from a woman in Sausalito California. It's supposed to have 3D flowers on it, and a 3D bumper on both sides of the front of the van and also the back of the van which it doesn't have any 3D stuff anywhere. The inside of the bag is supposed to have floral cloth lining, and it's plastic. The bag is also supposed to come with a duster so that way when the bag is not in use it goes in that special bag to keep it nice as well as a letter of authenticity. The bag is also much smaller than it states. The pictures that I am sending you shows the bag that I did receive, as well as the bag shown on the website.

I ordered a garden wind twirler with Snoopy flying in a WW1 plane that was pictured as being fully bodied airplane and Snoopy. What I received was a tinny metal flat body poorly designed fake piece of China crap. 100% disappointed in this trickery and fake advertising. Looks like something from the dollar store. Plus it doesn’t even spin in the wind.

- Roswell, GA, USA • Jun 09, 2026

Completely false advertising - claiming to provide hand-made bee houses made of cedar. Received items were made of bamboo and glued together. Refused to refund unless items were shipped to Hong Kong.

- Newport News, VA, USA • Jun 09, 2026

The company claims to be a retiring artisan from Vermont but it appears the products come from China. There was a long delay in shipping, and I started to read reviews that this is a scam. The website claims to use USPS for shipping but it is a GOFO tracking number out of California. Hong Kong is referenced on their website while American Express references a London location with a PA phone number. If the products are delivered, they are cheap knock offs. The consumer has to pay to return the product to China to get a refund. I've sent an email to [email protected] requesting they cancel the order and American Express will dispute the charge once the 2-week window has expired if the "product" hasn't shipped.

I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with a recent purchase. I received 4 Dots Wild Bee Hotels, and unfortunately, they are of terrible quality.

The product has all the failings that the marketing and product descriptions specifically promised would not be an issue. In particular, it promised smooth bamboo nest tubes precisely because rough tubes pierce bees' wings and/or trap them in the tubes like a cruel spiked trap. I have attached photos. It is incredibly frustrating to receive an item that falls so far short of the advertised standards.

I read an article on Google News about Mason bee houses hand made by an old man in the US, who was closing his workshop due to age. The article seemed legit and described in detail how his design was better than what is commercially available. The last few hundred units were available at a reduced price. I looked at their website, which listed other handmade crafts from rural US. I became suspicious when I saw that all the products were produced by elderly people who were going out of business due to age and selling their last batch of products. Checking their contact info shows an address in Hong Kong. Online reviews all indicate that this is a scam site.

- Boise, ID, USA • Jun 07, 2026

Website described items as handmade in North Carolina by a retired man who is really deceased. Items received were shipped from California and not North Carolina nor was it a custom item as described at all. Craft folk falsely advertises these are local artists in NC and advertises Trust Pilot reviews as 4.8. Trust Pilot website lists them as 1.3 and a scam, posting unauthorized and fake reviews. This website needs to be shut down as fake. You cannot post on this site any reviews to warn people. All returns must go back to China.

- Santa Fe, NM, USA • Jun 07, 2026

They describe a product as handmade by an artist in NC then send you an item from Hong Kong.

Thus, anions (negatively charged ions) are larger than the parent molecule or atom, as the excess electron(s) repel each other and add to the physical size of the ion, because its size is determined by its electron cloud.
