Scam texts saying “You still have $150 in Amazon rewards credit” or “$130 in Amazon bonus credits” and a link to (click to) “see what you can claim before it expires.”

I did not click the link.

Received text from Keith K Olszewski:

Amazon: Congratulations Pit, you came in 2nd in March's Amazon pods raffle! Click the link to : v6fmc.info/et1FkvFFO

Raffle drawings said I won Apple’s AirPods. I received this message three times. The fourth message said I had $100 in bonus credits to spend on Amazon. The messages each came from a regular phone number, not an email or five digit text number. The links were clearly not hosted by Amazon but by third party servers.

“[My name], you still have $100 Amazon Rewards credit: (link). See what you can claim before it expires on 03/25 (same link).” Also got a variation of “you won Apple iPods” twice from similar scams this week

This past Friday, received Amazon scam calls from these tel#’s:(216)381-3084,3815583,3813900,3814801,and 855-658-8552. These no#’s are connected to the 855 no# when you press 1 from the 381 exchange. They tell you someone in Dayton has placed 700.00+ on your Amazon acct.

They also want you to give more info re: acct or charge cards so you can’t prevent Identity theft. The calls come every hr. The automated rep’s name left on voice mail is Molly.

I purchased a TV from Amazon, (an Insignia fireTV) and after connecting to my WiFi and downloading updates, it gave me an activation code to me to enter into my Amazon account. The activation code failed, and the TV display said to call 1-844-220-0545 for support. The person answering claimed to be an Amazon support tech and said he could help resolve this. To do this, he needed us to load Anydesk Remote control on our phone and then on a computer. He then told us the issue was that our Amazon account had been red flagged for suspicious use, and that he would help us get refunds for the items purchased. He then attempted to get us to give him our bank information to get the refunds sent to us. At this point we basically hung up, disconnected and reset everything (including passwords etc. He threatened that this would cause our Amazon account to be deleted, and at that point we were sure this was a scam.

People calling claiming to be Amazon Prime employees seeking your information because your Amazon Prime account was allegedly compromised. Amazon employees never contact you directly. I have reported this to Amazon too.

- Lynbrook, NY, USA

Amazon: Congratulations, you came in 1st in March's Amazon pods raffle! Click the link to : v6fmc.info/et1FkvgNXV

I did not click this.

Scammer has texted me using my first name over the past few days form a few different numbers.

Some say “Amazon: Congratulations *myname* you came in 1st in March's Amazon pods raffle! Click the link to : *phishinglinkhere*”

It’s a scam to phish your account info.

A recording said that suspicious activity from my account - someone purchased something for a lot of money and in order to cancel it, I must take necessary steps. I hung up before going through the steps
